They just shared the same area code "212" back then

Ahh, maybe that was confusing me.

Whats the mileage between Giants stadium and Yankee stadium, to Times Square? Not to be a butthead, but I dont see how Giants stadium is closer.

If it's up to me, I'd put the Giants in Red Hook near down town brookly. Great location.. near the water probably a mile from the Statue of Liberty... people can get there by Train, Bus, or Ferry... It's mostly commercial there but there lots of low income housing... welfare... fuck that.. move them to Alaska... There shouldn't be any "housing" in prime areas like the Lower East Side for example....

I know it's a moot point now since the new Stadium is being built.

Uh, no. Red Hook Brooklyn is now a thriving area, that along with Williamsburg

and Greenpoint cause it's so close to the city. Red Hook is near the Financial District

and Greenpoint/Williamsburg are near uptown part of the island.

Giants Stadium is 8.54 miles from Times Square. I used the Port

Authority as the controlled.

Yankees Stadium is 7.89 miles from the Port Authority.

Meh, I guess I was wrong, but a half a mile isn't that huge of a difference.

OK, I thought I was sane. Yeah, not a big difference, but I knew Yankee stadium was closer.

Yankee Stadium is in the Bronx...hence the nickname "The Bronx Bombers" ;)

Times Square is in Manhattan.

OK now, no offense guys, but are you reading my posts at all?? I know where Yankee stadium is, heck, my aunt used to live off of River just past Woodmere, on about 173rd. We used to walk to Yankee games when I was a little tyke. And I obviously know where Times Square is, who doesnt? I just didnt see how Giants stadium was closer, when its across the River and Yankee stadium is in the Bronx, which is next to the City.
