mickeef2
I think the Tribe made a very smart move in signing him. I think he'll have a great year. He was pitching well in September when he was finally healthy. I think getting out of Boston will do him some good, too.
RandolphScott
He did what Boston needed him to do for one year, and that one year they won a Championship.
mickeef2
He did what Boston needed him to do for one year, and that one year they won a Championship. Absolutely. I'm really kinda bummed at the way he was treated over the last two years. Granted, he brought some of it on himself, but only after they had already started booing him. I mean, guys like Varitek and Nixon always got a pass no matter what they did (or didn't) do, and I think if anyone deserved that kind of respect, it was Foulke. LorfTVP
Before he got injured last year he was pitching well, good WHIP, save for giving up a couple of HRs. But alas, Foulke will still be remembered for being one of those hallowed 25 players who changed history. Watch, when he returns, he'll get a standing ovation. mickeef2
Well, so much for that. He retired today. He felt soreness in his elbow the first couple of days of camp and said he doesn't want to go through that again this year. So long, Foulkie. Thanks for being the man when Red Sox Nation needed one.
