Mets Sign Mota to 2-yr Deal

The Mets and free-agent Guillermo Mota have agreed to a two-year, $5 million deal.

 

 

Mota was 3-0 with a 1.00 ERA in 18 games with the Mets after he being from the Cleveland Indians last season.

 

Mota will be suspended for the first 50 games of next season for violating MLB’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

I like that we should have a fresh arm in our pen later in the year, but I don't like how a steroid user is getting all that dough.

 

Fresh arm in the pen, and fresh arm in the rotation, hopefully. (Pedro)
