  1. Yeah he's a fucking sissy. I've yet to see a big hit by him and I can count on one hand all of Gibrils. I think that causes a major problem, these receivers aren't afraid to come across the middle on us and that's what hurts the most. And you're right about #23 too, he's as soft as they come.

  2. Bench our best player? Thats smart...

Bench our starting QB? Thats even better, especially after he had a pretty good game against a division rival...

Changing the coaching staff other than the OC is just as smart...

Come on guy we're 6-6 in a weak NFC, we have a great shot. And honestly I like our chances against Chicago or New Orleans in the first round. I think once stra's back, that pass rush will increase 10 fold and the DB's will look just a little better like they did on that 5 game win streak.

  3. Jeez, you forget to take your Midol this morning? You DID see the last four games, right?

Yeah i've seen the last four games, and the 4 games before that and all of the games for the last 15 years. You don't sit you're starting QB because of some bad games. Why didn't the patriots sit Tom Brady after losing 2 straight? Why haven't the falcons benched vick? You don't do it, and it pisses me off when people say it.

  4. I don't believe that we all 'Hate' Eli...we just hate the fact he's still making the same mistakes that he made in his first year. Hasn't corrected his 'mechanics', hasn't adjusted to windy weather. Hasn't showed that FIRE. Hasn't stood up to Shockey/Plax. Hasn't showed that he cares on the sidelines after fucking up. Case in point: he was standing alone sulking....most of last night! Fuck dood, yo' ass is 6-3 and down 16-10! Grow some nuts and spark this offense with emotion. Lead!!!!!!!

And IF he isn't feeling 'comfortabe with the play calling...God Dammit Eli, dispute some of the plays then with your coach.

...the way it looks, it seems that Eli doesn't even practice with Plax nor Shockey.

...if your LT isn't up to par (see that ol' Left Tackle in there now), can Eli lobby for more plays with 3 step drops and more shorter pases? Get fuckin' passionate Eli and wake the fuck up!!!!

You know what though, that's what coaching is for. You make your players better, ESPECIALLY the basics.

  5. <---------- off the Eli bandwagon.

We had better sign a decent veteran this offseason.

just shut the fuck up and run into a knife or something. we're not benching eli unless he plays the same way for the next 6 games. He's playin bad and he knows it. Did anyone else see the press conference after the game? I don't blame you if you didn't i was fuckin disgusted too, but i watched. Eli will step up, he knows he's playing like shit. He knows his OC is a crumb short of retarded. He knows Tiki should get the ball 60% of the game. He'll get better, hopefully its this coming sunday against a weak Titans team that is playing ok.

You know what really pisses me the fuck off? Watching San Diego and how they run their offense. Not because of Phillip Rivers, because I'd take Eli over him again, but the way they use the best player on the team. LT splits out wide, he's in the back field, he runs, catches and even throws. I mean how hard is it to understand that you try to get your best player the ball. Especially on mismatches by being covered by a linebacker. Also the TE's, they create the biggest mismatch on the field, and when you got a guy like shockey how can you not throw him the ball 7-10 times a game? Where's the TE screen? I've seen it once in 4 years.

  6. When he dropped to the ground after the challenge all i could think was "Wow what a fucking pussy"... I mean come on, you're a fuckin pro and you're gonna act like a little girl? He knew he didn't catch it, why the whole act?

    RUN THE FUCKING BALL

    if that doesn't work

    GET SHOCKEY THE BALL

    if that doesn't work

    RUN THE FUCKIN HURRY UP

    if that doesn't work

    RUN THE FUCKIN BALL AGAIN

  7. It's so sad how bad this OC is. Why hasn't Coughlin taken over the play calling?

Tiki was the leading rusher and he gets 13 carries

Manning has been playing horrible and he throws 40+ times (AGAIN)

The Hurry Up offense works so well for Manning and we go away from it.

    Horribly predictable play calling

No trick plays to catch the D off guard (I'm not a huge fan of trick plays but when your team is playing shitty, a trick play could spark something)

One thing the coach did well was manage his challenges (Yeah they were pretty easy challenges) but I wanna give coughlin some credit.

Please EA or ANYONE above the coaching staff FIRE HUFFNAGLE PLEASE!!!

  8. Look hes got Blackburn, Frank Walker, Tim Carter, and Brandon Jacobs on the bench last night

Jacobs got 2 immacualte carries........untouched for 2 TDs.......the others nothing

Meanwhile we have David Tyree at WR, Tiki going 20 carries for no gain, Correy Webster playing like a blind man, and Pierce unable to drop once into coverage to stop that infuriating Muhammed over the middle pass

    I rest my case

theres no fool like an old fool

Umm last time i checked we ran the ball 21 times for 150 yards and 2 td's. B.J had 9 of those yards and both td's.

  9. Eli is definetely getting to the point where the "He's still young and learning" excuse runs out. He plays good 2 weeks, then shits himself the next 3. I haven't seen him throw a TD and NOT an INT in a while, if ever. He always seems to have at least 3-5 horrible passes a game. Coaches need to get on his ass.

  10. I'd say:

    1. Seubert lines up at Tackle, with Whitfield playing TE. Seems we'd have more "meat" in the middle that way.

    2. Run, run, run, with Tiki and Jacobs. For Christ's sakes, can we let Jacobs wear a defense down JUST ONCE this year?

    3. Put in Claiborne at OLB in passing situations, with Reggie Torbor at DE. Would have to generate more rush than Willie Joe at DE.

By the way... we getting anyone back this week? ANYONE?

I know Willie Joe isn't a big fan favorite especially here on the boards, but he is playing very good. He was breaking through double teams when he was in and getting to the ball quickly.

  11. Fuck that, I hate flex scheduling. Even though it's brilliant on NBC's part.

They either have to move our game or the Jets game every week for the rest of the year if we are scheduled to have the same time as the Jets.

We're probably gonna have the Cowboys game moved to 4, Carolina to 8, and Eagles at 4.

More nation wide coverage to see our great DB's get raped... what more can you ask for? :brooding:

  12. He had that fumble you're right, but he was getting open all game, it's not his fault Eli over threw him and he's 6'5. I will agree though, he does have a good disappearing act when it comes to big games, but honestly you can't say he didn't play well last night. And to talk shit and back it up (other than that fumble of course) I think is big.

  13. When the first 3 DE's on your Depth Chart are OUT and your first 2 OLB's on your Depth Chart are OUT, it's hard to keep a team out of the end zone. That and they were on the field almost every other 4 downs, I really cant blame the interior line and line backers. torbor and wilkenson didn't play horrible. We are as bad in the secondary as most people thought.

Booyah was absolutely right also about the safety help. That play that Madison got burned where was Gibril? 3 steps late. The deep crosses and posts they were running? Where were the safeties to contest the ball or put a hit on the receiver? No where to be found, the corners were left out on an island and they couldn't survive. One bright spot in the secondary is R.W McQuarters, the guy plays hard, blitzes well, and seems to do a good job in coverage.

  14. Lets not be dumb here guys. A QB isn't gonna be effective when he is asked to throw on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down. The Bears got pressure and we abandoned the run. We ran the ball 21 times, twenty fucking 1, and BJ only touched the ball twice.

It was raining and cold, not ideal throwing conditions anyway, no reason we didn't turn this game into exactly what it should have been. A grinding running attack. We had them on their heels early on both sides of the ball, and we stopped blitzing and stopped running.

Eli is going to be a terrific QB if he ever gets coaches that have not fried their brain cells.

We ran 21 fucking times and in those 21 times we got 150 yards and 2 touchdowns. Why did we go away from it? Again this week we run on first for a loss of 2 and the next two plays are passes. The next drive 3 fuckin pass plays in a row AND WE WERE FUcKING UP BY 7! what the fuck. I don't know if it's the coaches that are too faithful in Eli to pull out a W every week like Peyton, or if they're not confident enough in the run game after we have a short gain or a loss on a run.

We gotta keep running the ball, if you don't want to wear out Tiki bring in Jacobs. That is why we picked up a big #2 running back, to take some of the beating off of Tiki. Bring in Jacobs for 10-12 carries, let him beat up their front 7. Tiki will break them even more if they're already hurting, he fuckin averaged 7.4 yards a carry.

I think we're in trouble until Strahan and Osi are back to give that D line some type of fuckin rotation so they're not dead tired by the end of the first half. Our D had absolutely no rotation or rest, I think that's why Lewis called such a soft D on that 3rd and long. Oh and Will Demps (I was saying he's a good Safety and I'm willing to admit I was dead wrong) WHIFFED on that play. If you see the replay, watch him go at Jones and put his head down. They teach you in fuckin pop warner KEEP YOUR HEAD UP, if you're heads down you can't see what you're tackling and thats what happened.

I really hope we can come back strong against Jacksonville, they're pretty beat up too on D.

  15. absolutely right .... we had em beat at 10-3 with a 3rd and 22 late in the 2nd Q ..... and we handed them the game on a plate with bad coaching and lousy execusion

the following players were awful ( and they know it )

    Eli

    Whitfield

    Webster

    Feely

and where the fuck was Carter !

The Bears were ordinary , we could have beaten them ( even with our injuries )

TC's decision on the 52 yarder was clearly a mistake ( even without Hester's return for a TD ) at that point in the game it was all about field position and pressure from our D ..... and we just blew it ... FUCK !

It really hurts me to say but you're right, and I think Eli is only going to be average with some streaks against average defenses.

And Whitfield, holy fuck this is just gonna make Eli worse in the pocket. After he got hit from behind I don't think he'll trust Whitfield to keep his blindside safe much. Watch how uncomfortable he'll be in the pocket.

  16. Where are you tonight Plax? Plax? Hello? :furious:

What the fuck are you talking about? Plax made every play possible... he was overthrown, underthrown, thrown behind and in front... He talked shit, it was true and he backed it up, Eli just couldn't get it to him like he needed to. Plax and Tiki played great and the D just got tired without the depth because of injuries.

  17. We played shitty except for Tiki's 141 on only 19 fuckin carries... The D was playing great until they had to be on the field every other 4 downs... But I gotta say we're beat up pretty bad and it doesn't look good if these guys out there can't turn t around.

that's the injury report, and it doesnt include Petigout getting hurt early. And Bob Whitfield got his ass handed to him all game, and Luke won't be back...

  18. A bit too early for the game thread but I'll bite:

Here's how we will win. The basics. We know our Defense is hurting so it's only prudent to keep our D off the field as much as possible.. this will keep them fresh and will keep their O off the field.. obviously. We need to play ball control. Run the ball early and run it often. Mix it up between Tiki and Jacobs and get shockey involved in short routes... run it down their throats and exhaust them. Field position is important and special teams has to come up big for us.

I don't expect us to go pass happy even if Plax plays (I do expect him to play btw)

    Go Giants :flex:

We also need to keep the penalties down and on defense make Grossman unconfortable in the pocket.
