  1. No, I can get both FOX channels because I live close to Palm Beach county. The recption is okay just not as good as the Broward/Miami-Dade FOX.

Ahhh, I'll just kickback and watch the game on my Fox 5 NY locals that I still get on my directv receiver even though I live in auburndale FL now. Oh yeah and in HD.

    P.s. I don't have Sunday ticket either.

  2. my take on it is this....

THis is the way i would want it to go down. The Giants by doing what they did effectivly shit in everyone's cheerios. The NFL and America where all ready to crown the "Greatest Team Ever" and we came in and crashed that party.

The Sweetness of that victory and the run thru the playoffs is still quite palatable to me. The reason we are not picked to win the Division or really contend for a repeat is because we not the sexy team.

We don't have a squad full of superstars and ego's.

What we have is a TEAM!

A group of people that play for each other and the New York Giants. Thats what made it all the better.

  3. Still in my 20s.. getting really close to that 30 :D. But I confess when I play now, which is not as much (mainly because everyone's gotten old and I'm the only one still yelling to play every week).. but when I do I'm sore for weeks.. not to mention the injuries.

The injuries part is mainly because guys are bigger. Certainly tackling my friend when we were both 110 lbs and 140 was a lot easier than now.. now they're easily pushing 200 lbs on average and while I'm almost always successful in bringing them down, I'm in a world of pain on each tackle.

    you youngin's

I already crossed that 30 threshhold. Next up marriage and ball removal

  4. NY Post - Jints Jazzed for season to start

June 14, 2006 -- For their last segment of a three-month offseason workout program, the Giants today gather for the start of a three-day mandatory mini-camp that will include all veterans and rookies on the roster.

After this, the Giants (other than the rookies, who remain another week) take off until July 27, when all players report to training camp at the University at Albany. After another busy free-agent signing period, coupled with a few interesting - and somewhat eclectic - selections in the NFL Draft, the Giants believe they can improve on their 2005 record of 11-5 and erase the sting of a humiliating first-round ouster from the playoffs.

"We have a lot of talented guys on this team, and that's a good thing. It's better than not having talented guys," said linebacker LaVar Arrington, the most intriguing veteran addition, "but it's still how you work together and how hard you go after it."

There will be an array of talent on hand for three days at Giants Stadium, including tight end Jeremy Shockey, receiver Plaxico Burress and defensive tackle William Joseph, three players who eschewed the Giants program and instead worked out at the University of Miami. Of course, such non-compliance never sits well with Tom Coughlin, and all three had better be in top shape, or else risk the coach's wrath.

Not on the scene to participate in the passing-game workouts, Shockey and Burress have not worked with Eli Manning and the receiver-quarterback rapport on the field will likely take a while to return.

Still, this is merely one tuneup and the overwhelming feeling around the team is one of rampant optimism.

"Steve Tisch was at practice the other day," center Shaun O'Hara said of the team's co-owner, "and he said, 'Shaun, I'm so excited, I can't wait for the season to get started.' I said, 'You know what, I think a lot of players on the team are feeling the same way.' We don't want training camp to start yet, but we're ready for the season to start. I think we have the makings of something really special here right now."

  5. No doubt, 3rd and 20 would be almost automatic!!!

Eli has to make some more strides this year.

    The secondary, enough said!

The way we use Jacobs, lets get him more involved.

Our Defensive Tackles, we need someone to step up and stuff the run

Not that Osi needs to improve but he will, and I can't wait to see it :TU:

    Huffs play calling

The 3rd and 20 crap was mostly on our corners, They just seemed to be there to make the tackle after the catch. They never broke up the pass or God forbid intercept something.

Jacobs is a beast. I would like to see him get more involved. But he has to get that pad level down.

William Joesph is OK. I was ok with his performance last year. It wasn't world beating but atleasy he wasn't a hinderance. But we really need to find someone that fills that NT spot that can tie up O-linemen to make room for our LB's to work.

Huffs Playcalling is atrocious at times. He needs to stop being so god damn predictable on 3rd and short.

  6. I also think that Webster should get his chance to start, but if either him or Madison get hurt, then we are in trouble.

Well we still have Deloatch on the roster who has some starting expierence, I was high on him last year but he seemed to regress. If he can get back on pace and get better. The competition between him and McQuarters should only help both of them play better.

We do have some depth but as with every other team you don't have Spare All Pro corners just riding the bench waiting for someone to get hurt for a chance to play. If someone goes down yeah it will hurt but we will just have to provide more safty help to whatever side might wind up sustaining an injury.

  7. I think the Giants organization is going to stand pat on what we have into training camp with our current roster. It hink they want to give Corey Webster every opertunity to start opposite madison

  8. Junior Ioane immediately moves ahead of William Joseph in the depth charts...solid move, for a guy without much of a history, he certainly is an upgrade over 1st round disapointment Joseph...

    :blah: :blah: :blah:

Dude WJ plays the Other DT position, Not NT. I would of thought an "Informed" Football person would know that.

  9. Willie Ponder and Jamaar Taylor are both history unless their are some injuries (which with Tim Carter is always possible) - last year Jamaar Taylor stunk. He has very little chance of making the team. Tyree is the 5th and last WR behind Carter and Moss.

Taylor will be on the team

  10. I have come to the conclusion that evrything Floyd Says happens in Opposite. So with that being said we all know that Joesph is going to have a monster year. Becase Floyd and the rest of the fag 4 couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat.

  11. I'm not, which why I said that we'll have to wait until camp. But I don't think Seargent Coughlin is one to out of his way to praise a players condition if he doesn't mean it. For example, if Seawright were not in good shape having his head coach describe him as being in phenomenal shape would not help motivate him to work harder. TC doesnt strike me as the type of coach who will say things just to placate the fans if it's completely untrue and would actually be detrimental to the team.

Obviously we won't know until we see these guys in action. But to answer the queston about who to expect playing for us when the season comes around, Ill have to go with the players that the coach is praising for their hard work heading into camp.

Round is a shape, Maybe he is in terrific shape, Terrificably Round

    :P
