The Eagles haven't had a good WR corps in recent memory...except when they had TO...they still managed to do pretty well. I fear people are greatly underestimating them.
-
Keep that up, and he will start crying about the team and how bad he wants out of NY....like he did here.
He'll never own up to a bad performance.
And then become a self fulfilling prohecy by ratting to the media that one of his teammates called him a rat in a players only meeting.

Did Wags blow another save? Shit, what happened to him?

I agree with you. Emmons is having no luck staying on the field with us, and when he is on the field, he's workmanlike and unspectacular. Arrington? Who knows how good he'll be, or how long he'll be able to play. I'm hoping for the best, though.
Oddly enough, I think Pierce is going to help our interior line be better than what it is, just by how he calls the game.
Yeah, Emmons just needs to stay healthy - he's been nothing spectacular, but a solid and very capable player when he can stay on the field.
It's hard for me to get too excited about Arrington - reason being that he's dumber than dirt and has trouble learning new defenses. I've been a fan of his since his days at Penn State, don't get me wrong, but I just hope he can learn the defense.

I'm thinking 4-2 as well. Split against the Eagles and Redskins. Sweep Dallas.
4-2 is about right. Lose in Philly and in Washington, take both from Dallas.

Nice...Pat the Bat goes yard again.

Haha, now it's raining at my house and it's clear down at the park.
-
It's raining in Pennsyltucky? It's B. U. T. full here.
It's pouring at the park, we're on rain delay - but at my house just a few miles away it's gorgeous.
-
By the way, it's strange that it's pouring down at the ballpark, but the sun is still out at my house (just a few miles away).

The Phillies always have cool white guys year after year for some reason. Pete Incavelia, Kruk, Dykstra, Burrell, Roland, Wolf, Fasano....
Yeah, I especially loved that 93 team - gotta love that blue collar mentality they all had. I'll never forget when someone asked Kruk about his weight and how he could be a professional athlete and he said, "I'm not an athlete, I'm a baseball player."

Utley isn't the best fielder obviously - for the most part he makes the plays he's supposed to make, and once in a while makes a really nice one. But he's that guy that's gonna bust his ass on every single play his entire career - the emotion and positive influence that should cause (but seemingly isn't on this team) is invaluable.
By the way, Sal Fasano has the coolest haircut and mustache in all of baseball, and I love him for it.
-
I don't know what's wrong with the Sillies, they've looked completely lost the past week or so. You'd think these guys have never played the game before, a complete lack of emotion...except for Chase Utley.
-
Oh, I didn't actually vote - just saying who I would vote for.
-
1B - Pujols
2B - Utley
SS - Renteria
3B - Wright
OF - Bay
OF - Lee
OF - Jones
C - Estrada
Write ins - Howard, Beltran
-
He "heard a pop" while throwing around in the OF...no significant pain or tell tale signs of serious injury as of yet though. Lieber will make the start tonight.
-
Didn't Philly have some new guy slated to start tonight?
That's Hamels, he's only making his 3rd start.
-
*Barry had the stats to make the HOF before he (seemingly) started juicing...but I'd vote for Pete Rose over him. There will never be another player like Charlie Hustle, he was the kind of guy that would stick his head out and take a pitch in the face if it meant getting on base and helping the team.

David Ortiz is on pace to hit 162 Home runs and drive in 486 runs.
This is un-matchable.
Pujols is on pace to hit 324 homers and drive in 648 runs.

All of the ego of TO and half the talent...I'll pass.

I want a negative count...-5000 if you will. It'll take me ten years to get back to zero.
Dallas and Philly Will Compete For The NFC East Crown
in New York Giants

A good draft. A healthy McNabb. An underachieving defense that seemed to have an off year. No more TO drama. Good lines on both sides of the ball. There are plenty of reasons.
I'd like nothing more than a clean sweep of the Eagles (and the rest of the NFC East) but the realist in me says otherwise. There is no clear cut "best" in the division right now - though as of right now I'm inclined to believe that the top 2 teams are Big Blue and the Eagles.
