Actually it's a good idea because you can get the casual poster that may turn into a regular. I have so many stupid Internet accounts that unless I really want the service or post on a board I won't if it requires an account. Just make sure that if you allow guest accounts you use a good CAPTCHA.

 

Also what does it matter if less people create accounts? A MB will only become very popular when it gets critical mass. That's what is currently holding this board back, only 20 people posting in the Giants section. Let Guests post and you may get many more posts causing more interest causing more members to join. As it is there aren't enough people and that's why people still use the awful GMB.

There are tons if things a Guest account, can't do or doesn't have access to. For example, a person who uses a guest account can't secure their identity, put a avatar, or signature. Has to go through a security process etc.. Guest accounts will make sportswrath a try, before you buy kind of thing.

This can get the website a lot more peers, if we allowed guests to post. Of course, a good security setting can be installed, so people don't start spamming or abusing the system.

Umm, the reduced the size of a picture.. if anything you would need permission from the Giants. I have the original image, of the helmet.. but this one was already reduced in size, so I thought you could use that.
