Gilbride does not play on the field, Gilbride does not constantly fumble the ball, Gillbride is not the inacurate QB who constantly throws the short over the middle passes 2 ft over the receivers heads
Its the head coaches job to discipline the team and individual players and hold them to task or bench them.........Coughlin is complicit in the ineptitude and then wanders the sideline with that I cannot believe what I'm seeing stupid expression on his ancient irish face.....if you want to get frustrated and blame someone blame the head man.......he is the one who fails to police the stupidity and ineptitude
apparently we can never get rid of this guy so live with mediocrity or find another team to root for
I agree, TC needs to be the one who rips Eli's fucking head off when he does what he does too often, but Gillbride is the closest in command to the offense. It's his job to get these guys to knock the shit off and get it corrected. He hasnt and from the looks of it never will. Hell, TC fixed Tiki's fumbling problem...that should've been Kevin's job.
One of the biggest crock of shit things that happens with this offense is the kid gloves they use on Eli. I dont give a fuck if he is Jesus Christ, when makes stupid decisions he should be getting dragged off the field by his facemask.

Getting to the playoffs is the bare minimum of a fair not great season. I could give a shit about any number of wins that don't lead to the post season. Gilfuck will be there next season.
TC and his merry men will be here till they die. Thankfully TC is like 73 years old.
Man, I can only imagine what kind of numbers Eli and this very talented WR core could put up with a competent HC and OC. Instead their careers are all going to be average.

Let's not eat each other guys...

The Giants were 10-6 in 2007, just sayin.
...and also almost blew it getting a spot, just sayin.

I think the fact that people are actually happy that nothing will be being done about it from the top down (meaning since Coughlin stays, more than likely his assistants stay....maybe not the pitiful ST guy but still, you get the point) says enough about what people consider around here.
I think a lot of people still live 4 years ago when we made a fluke run at a Super Bowl and are willing to give Coughlin a pass because, ya know, a while back he (and by that I mean mainly his defense and defensive coordinator and a TON of lucky plays) led the team to a SB. Of the other 4 years (I won't include Manning's rookie season), well, you've seen the results. Failing in the playoffs (collapsing in the playoffs, actually, to Carolina, Philly) and failing in December have now become the acceptable norm because the team strung together a winning season against poor teams this year so Coughlin keeps his job.
It's pretty ridiculous. What's it going to take? Is it going to really take a 4-12 season to get the change pushed through? Now we enter next season with a lame duck coach and more than likely his garbage coaching staff, as well. Couple that with the fact that the team should be competing NOW for another Super Bowl and won't be because they can't avoid collapsing in the second half, and you SHOULD understand what Allstar is saying here. But people won't. They see the 10 win season as a "winning" season, where in reality, we are the biggest losers in the NFL right now...
I'm starting to like you Storm. You're speaking spot on.

We do get to play in an over priced poorly designed AC unit though. Thats cool...I guess.

The Giants beat 1 team with a winning record....the Chicago Bears. And somehow Tom Coughlin is still the coach of this team.
Yup and apparently Mara is dumb and blind. "The players play hard for him." Yeah right buddy, they play hard the first 2 months of a season then lose focus. Or like last year when they were jogging around against Minnesota and Carolina.
-
Rams have to win tonight, then I'm pulling for them because the Spags factor and the underdog thing.
I just cant believe if Seattle wins, they are in the playoffs with a 7-9 record. Bullshit if you ask me, but then again the way the Giants continued to shit on themselves I dont think they deserved to be in...

Poor Giants fans you included
another year of total mediocrity, sloppy, bumbling and occasional sterling football
Do you enjoy being Andy Reid's bitch????
Agreed

Without a doubt, this defense needs an impact linebacker. We need a fast, versatile linebacker (preferably two).
Goff is okay.....he'll likely get better next season....but he's not an impact playmaker.
Goff...really? I liked what I saw from him. Keep in mind he's still pretty raw. I'm willing to bet Goff next season will be very good for us and will be an impact.
We need OL more than LBs.

Josh McDaniels. He's a young guy with fire and passion. He'd be a great compliment to Coughlin. But this argument is moot because as long as TC stays, KG stays. KG needs to go NOW. But we will be forced to sit through disappointment again next year because TC won't do what needs to be done... and you know what? Even though it sounds like he's keeping his job... he's on borrowed time because of this loyalty to KG. And it's unfortunate because this team has the pieces to be special.
Absolutely agree. Next season we should be in a good spot to blow doors off our competition. Providing we can get a couple of decent O linemen.
The scary thing is Gillbride knows this and will skip basic fundamentals.
With a good OC. He'll know how to mix it right. Gillbride isnt that man.
-
Gillbride wont be fired and he wont leave. He's like that friend that visits for a weekend and ends up living on your couch.
If he does go, I'd love to see a younger experienced person in his spot. Who ever fits the suit.

Honestly? I don't think they quit against the Eagles...that shit was a fucking fluke man.
They didnt quit against the Eagles but they sure as shit didnt stay focused which is TCs job.
-
The players play hard for him? I guess the big guy was on a safari vacation last season when the last two games were obvious that the team quit on him.
Is it gonna take TC to die for us to get a HC with youth experience? What is he, like 74 now? Im starting to think so.
-
The QB needs to work on pass placement. The WRs need to work on catching poorly thrown passes. The offensive line needs to work on finding the fountain of youth, other than that they are fine. The RBs are fine. The TE's are fine. The OC needs to read "Burning the clock for Dummys".
Other than that, I'd say we're ready to go 7-2 the 1st half of season and 2-5 the 2nd half.

JOY!
Another season of starting out great and burning down like the Hindenburg... HOORAY!
-
Obvious joke on my part. I really dont expect us to draft a kicker 1st if at all. This was my lame attempt at saying how insane that kicker is.
I dont know who we should get. 18th pick is if we dont make the playoffs. It's the 23rd if we make it and crap out in the Divisional round. Then the rest of it is pretty explanatory.

Dallas has 5 probowlers?? Come again?
Yeah exactly, Popularity contest
-
The New York Giants select David Ruffer, kicker out of Notre Dame.
Lol, this kid is insane! He hasnt missed a field goal in college yet..2 years.
-
is that elis mean face?
I sure hope it's not his happy face.
-
pfft whatever, it was a regular season game. let's see how much they care about this if we beat them in the playoffs
Haha, exactly.
Some morons will actually buy this garbage too. Like it meant that much as if it were to happen in the NFC title game.
Something tells me you'll see morbidly obese men wearing them...you know what I mean, the kind of lard asses that feet slide out on the outside part of their shoes, their hats look 3x to small for their head, and they wear fanny packs.
How sad.
