  1. This time no hotel, just stay in my extra room.

    Im goin to SF too. We'll have to meet up there too.

    I'm a hotel kinda guy bro. No offense. I just like the ease of that stadium with the hotels across the parking lot. This year, I'm gonna book it at the Marriot if possible.

    Also, dont listen to Blu... The Castro district isnt the best place to stay in SF.

  2. Boss is going to have a short career unless this team figures out how to use him. If they ever do, watch out.

    2 years ago, the Giants had the chance to get this kid the ultimate mentor, but Tony Gonzalez ends up in Atlanta for pittance. To this day that pisses me off. You think Tony Gonzalez sits there while Eli overthrows him and leads him into vicious hits. Eli would learn fast not to.

    I'm almost leaning on (if Boss goes) drafting Kyle Rudolf in the 2nd if he's there. It's just a fantasy really, but could you imagine how fucked defenses would be with our WRs and Rudolf to worry about? He's Shockey part 2, without the tude for now.

  3. I'm thinking of coming to San Fran if its late in the season. Be my first time back since '99...who is Northern Cali beyond you and ShoeBoxx?

    I WILL be going providing it's not scabs playing. Anytime the Gmen are on the west coast, I go.

    I'll be going to Arizona too. So Paul (BIGBLUE01) can get locked up again and I end up scrambling to find a way to the airport. Thank god my hotel was across the parking lot. :ermm:

    If all pans out right, I'll go to New Orleans also. A promise I made to a friend...just didnt expect it to be next season. :toilet:

  4.

    TE Kevin Boss ($1,350,000). Need to sign him, he gets better each year.

    I agree with everything else except this. Boss is easily replaceable and is becoming a concussion on legs. If we can retain him fairly cheap, then go for it, but anything more...no way.

  5. Home:

    * Philadelphia Eagles

    * Dallas Cowboys

    * Washington Redskins

    * St. Louis Rams

    * Seattle Seahawks

    * Green Bay Packers

    * Buffalo Bills

    * Miami Dolphins

    Away:

    * Philadelphia Eagles

    * Dallas Cowboys

    * Washington Redskins

    * Arizona Cardinals <---Going

    * San Francisco 49ers <---Going

    * New Orleans Saints <---Gone

    * New England Patriots

    * New York Jets

  6. Why not? Shockey and Barber did.

    What's so wrong about the team supporting Coughlin?

    Shockey and Barber were also both out the door soon after.

    Look it's possible they're genuine, but I dont expect anyone to lay the wood on him so shortly after if they didnt before the season ended.

  7. He wont go.

    I did find this tweet interesting though...

    Brandon Jacobs' final statement to media: "You're all getting pictures of Brandon Jacobs leaving, wondering if he'll ever return ... " #NYG

    Whats up with that?

  8. Ranked #4? Do you mean the number 4 defense that gave up 28 points in 8 minutes? Maybe its the number 4 defense that gave up 45 in Green Bay. Look I didnt say this roster was garbage but right now theyre good enough to beat bad teams and its obvious theyre missing something when it comes to big games agaisnt good teams.

    Yeah I realize they gave up far too many points during games and the Philly flop game is debatable as to who exactly to blame, but you're blaming players that made monstrous changes in the off season compared to last season. Guess who gets credit for that... I'll give you a hint, it's the guy who designs the schemes and calls the play. Can you imagine what our record would be if we still had Sheriden calling the shots? Not pretty to think about.

    If you think everything is the players faults for getting waxed against teams with less talent you're mistaken. We are getting schooled by the opposition's shot callers (coaches). We had far less talent in our 07 championship team but we won because our DC was intelligent and knew how to tweak and fine tune his instruments. We dont have any coaches like that now and because of it when we face off against teams that do we lose. If the team is talented enough to destroy bad teams there is no reason they shouldn't against good teams.

    It's been known for years now that Gillbride is horrible at adjusting. If we dont have a lead or keep the game close in the 4th we will lose.

  9. Let's see if I'm following this correctly: the defense had an epic choke job two weeks ago, never showed last week, and we won this week--so fire the OC? :freaked:

    Gillbride is predictable and too bland for this team. He wants to play "smash mouth" with a team that is more geared for the pass.

    Then when we should be running the clock, he's calling pass plays. It's easy for the defense to choke when they're on the field all quarter long because the OC is calling pass plays and is WAY predictable on runs.

  10. 10-6, people. You're sounding like we were 4-12.

    10-6 with no linebackers, no special teams, and rampant injuries to our WRs and Oline. Not really good enough, but a damn sight better than a bunch of teams throughout the league.

    10-6 with ONE WIN against a winning team. Had we played more teams over .500 we probably would be 4-12.

    Fact is we changed defensive coordinators and this team is still susceptible to big plays and gets blown out by good teams. We didnt even have the injuries on defense this year and brought in Rolle. Coaching always plays a role but christ if this team was that good they would have stepped up and won some of those games.

    So let me get this straight, our defense going through coordinators with this season being ranked #4...this roster is still pure garbage and that's why we continue to slide and lose important games? Then by your logic we should fire the entire coaching staff except the DC and tear this team apart and re-build. Got it.

  11. I think 2 slots as of now ahead of the eagles and Bucs

    link

    Look at the Seahawks look how low they are still makes me sick but yo know what It's the Giants own fault and it started in the 4th quarter week 15

    We'll pick 19th.

    The Shithawks went from having the 7th pick to atleast the 21st. Thats a hell of swing.

    I thought it was funny, earlier during the game they said the fans took a poll on would you rather win to get in the playoffs or lose to have the 7th pick? Most of the fans wanted to lose. My guess is because they know they are going to get waxed in the playoffs anyway.

  12. Plays went right for US in a fluky manner. Other teams make plays go their way, the 07 Giants had plays go their way by fluke that would never happen again if given a thousand tries recreating certain plays.

    That's not the point I'm trying to make, anyway. I'm saying Coughlin gets a pass because he won a SB and because he has a year left on his contract. In reality, a solid defense and a great defensive gameplan allowed him to win that SB along with a couple great draft classes by JR. He had little to do with it. Coughlin isn't really that great of a coach. He's pretty good between September and December, but his teams historically fall apart in December. So if we're going by the one year his team pulled through, why should we ignore the other 4 years (5 if you count Manning's rookie season) he allowed his team to collapse?

    Speaking of Mannings rookie season... another brilliant coaching move he made was starting him way too early. He allowed a rookie QB with a shitload of potential to get hammered instead of an aging Warner. And for what? A 4-12 season.

    Just another example of TC killing young talent.
