as a homework assigment you must stay after school and watch the season of Mitchell.....especially the playoffs and even more so the SB then come back here with that argument..........I have NFL network and when they replay Giant games from that year Mitchell's brilliance cannot be denied having said that he needed that D line to do those things..........he cannot emulate that in Buffalo Mitchell was relentless that year.....his pass coverage was awesome and he made a many many backfield tackles and helped alot on the blitz. He also completely negated Pierce's horrific play

When Carney kicked I could get up and go get a beer and hit the replay button later When Tynes kicked (even KO's and Xtra points) you could not get up to piss if you had a 2 oz capacity bladder that was the difference

its tough with some of the replies I get.......I have to search my pockets for some pity and understanding ocassionaly I do not as a rule lose my temper, or reply to the insults you have to always consider the source

there is stupidity and then there is that special section for breath-taking stupidity not signing Carney would fit right there beside not signing Mitchell The bloom is off the rose with Mr Reese We face a season with a un-reliable kicker (after failing to offer a contract to our pro bowl kicker) , a punching bag at MLBer, no go-to wide receiver (after cutting our best one BEFORE his court date), and a defensive coordinator who refuses to stand on the sidelines as by his oiwn admission he has no personality (which puts him in good company with the HC who does not have one either)

I watched the game......not sure you did Tom coached the O thats his love. We didn't exactly blast the Patriots so so D into oblivion On the other hand Spags pummeled Tom Brady like he never experienced and held their running game to pathetic I'd say Spags won that SB and Tom was a good overlord It will be interesting to see how we do with a coach when we did not mount a determined search. The last 3 times we didn't mount a big search we wound up with AWFUL defensive co-ordinators.....I cant even say average.....pathetic ones When Tom's job was on the line he reached for the best young co-ordinator in the business, and we won a SB with our D. I wish Sheridan well but he will never get top results up in that booth

What is sad and pathetic is Pierce's athletic ability. He may be a coach on the field. I'd like to see a MLBer in the enemy backfield ande not one who is totaly ineffective and pancaked when he does ocassionaly get in there Now, we have a 10 man D with an added "coach on the field" .........and another coach- the DC up in the booth totaly emotionaly removed from his defense how many time have we seen Spags huddle with his soldiers and inspire them to great performances you can't do that from the booth, and Coughlin can't do it standing in front of you Tom is old school and is a couple of generations removed from his players Our D is now rudder-less........I fear for our "streamlined" defense this year. I've always thought football was fundamentally a game of raw emotion. Otherwise one could not account for how Lombardy squeezed so much performance from an athletically mediocre group Hopefully we can outscore them.....were not going to out coach them

Pierce does not have swine flu.....it did not even exist last season hes just slow, old and has the reaction time of an 80 yr old.......he'd be my choice to dispose of a gun though Swine flu thats a good one Blackburn's your man.....like it or not hahahahaha
