  1. This game is yet another big game in this roller coaster season. Thus far, the Giatns have struggled when the screws have been turned on them. They had a chance to put a strangle hold on the conference going into the Beras game. The fell in embarrassing fashion. They then had a chance to rebound against a Jacksonville team that was twice defeated by the Texans, again they fell. They then had a gameagainst an entirely inferior opponne tin Tennessee, to remain tied for the division lead, they fell again. This team has not looked good in games that have meant a lot. the have squandered their opportunities os far this yar, to assert themselves as the team to beat.

This Sunday, they have the opportunity to clinch the division title if the finish tied with the Cowboys. The Cowboys have a 1-3 divisional record, and can be 1-4 after Sunday. Meaning if the Giants win, they'll be 4-0 and tied for the regular season record. If they can win Sunday, they can hopefully ride the wave of returning players into the postseason, and finish on a high note.

However, losing Sunday will be the final nail in the coffin of the Giants season. While they may not be mathematically eliminated, they will need to run the table to get a spot. In the course of three weeks the Giatns have gone from #1 seed contender to possible wild card.

I do not want them to become an after though after this week. If this team can't win with their backs to the wall this time, they were never meant to be. The depth on this team is amazing and they should still be winning games despite all the injuries.

It's time to put up or shut up. Let go G-Men and put em up, because you'd better go down fighting.

  2. yes this is a good point as well. while it's nice that he doens't ever seemed faze and keeps his cool you also like to see a guy with a LITTLE moxy out there, especialy if he's a huge long term investment and plays the most important position on the team. i would like to think he'd develop this as he gets older and that he's just feeling like it isn't his place since there are so many veterans on this team. time will tell i suppose

Well, no better time than the present for Eli to start exerting his will on this team. Tiki is out, so he really shouldn't care about offending Tiki. And Burress, forget about it.. He doesn't have a leg to stand on.

  3. I agree, even though I poke fun at Opie Cookie Puss, he really does not have a chance out there in this offense and this coaching staff.

I would prefer to see someone who thrives in the face of adversity. He needs to start getting in players faces some. Let them know who runs the show. the coaches do too. Coughlin is a real tough guy getting in Kiwi's face. Where was he when Burress quit on that route? He should have walked over to Burress while he was on the bench and whispered in his ear, "You just make yourself comfortable there, because you will never see the light of the field."

I just wish that he would do a better job of leading. All of them need to do a better job of that. They need to STFU and play football.

  4. Bottom line, the guy is till playing like a rookie and making rookie mistakes 36 games into his career. How about throwing the last ball away? Stop making excues. Eli needs to start producing. Period.

  5. At least Vick has some life and a lil fire. Opie Cookie Puss would have 'caved in'.

Eli knows that Plax is fuckin' up but he wont say shit. Vick said it...Vick said "my recievers need to catch the balls".

Eli needs to get a spark going. like tellin a reporter off or cussin' back at these sorry coaches a la Jake Plummer.

Yeah! Eli needs to be involved in sex scandals. His attention isn't nearly diverted enough on the field.

  6. So your telling me that Strahan would have made the same mistake that Kiwi made yesterday? Your telling me that Toomer would have jogged after that pass like Plax? Your telling me that Eli would be rolling out to the right on every play if Luke was still in there? Manning has sucked lately but since you called him garbage, I will remind you of your words for the next 10+ years.

Chances are, if Strahan arrived in at the same time and in the same way as Kiwi did, then yes, he would've. Because the last thing Kiwi saw before he lowered his head was Young's arm coming forward. The referee should have blown that play dead, since it's the competition committees fault. See, they have players making decisions they shouldn't have to make. He contacted him as he was "throwing" but feared a 15 yard flag. Now, he's going to plant the QB next time, and probably get a flag. So they can't have it both ways. The one thing Kiwi could've done better was to keep his eyes up.

Regardless of whether Toomer was hurt, Burress would still be jogging, So that has nothing to do with anything. It's ont that receivers aren't getting open, your precious Eli can't find them because he's too busy staring down Shockey or Burress instead of going through a progression like most would expect a third year QB to do.

Manning hasn't sucked lately, he's sucked for the majority of his short career. He's had more bad games than good games. You can point to receivers dropping balls, but that doesn't account for the poor decision he makes week in and week out. Audibling to pass plays when they have the lead? That's all on him. He's been playing horrible for well over half the season, but you keep on protecting him. You keep defending him. I'm done. He's had a large enough sample in my eyes to prove to me he wasn't worth what was given up. So in my eyes, that makes him garbage.

  7. Let's see, the defense was good enough with the injuries, to shut down the Titans for three quarters.

Eli wasn't sacked all game long.

The Giants had 141 on the ground.

Hmmm...... maybe if the offense helped out and got some first downs down the stretch, the defense wouldn't have been on the field so much, would've been better rested, and they could have preserved the shut out victory. Instead, the moron coaches decide to abandon the run game and pass the ball.

I remember on a 3rd and short I said to my friends, they need to line up split wide like they are really stupid enough to pass the ball here, then run the ball.

However, they really are that stupid and lined up in a run formation to pass the ball. I could've killed them. I really could've. They did the exact opposite of what I wanted them to do. They lost the ball, and the game.

The play calling is terrible. I feel like I'm watching a twelve year old play Madden. It's ridiculous.

Even with all the injuries, this team had no business losing yesterday. They were poised for the win but stopped playing. Ridiculous.

    Stop blaming injuries.

  8. When are fans(myself inculded)going to realize that we care more about this than the players do? They treat this as a bad day at work(which technically they are right)while we treat this as our entire week at work where we make a fraction of what these guys do will be ruined because of this.

With that said, in no way was ELI the sole cause of this debacle. Yes he made a poor throw late in the game, but the defense still at some point could have made a stop. We allowed a 4th and 9 conversion that would have ended the game and allowed a 4th and 10 when they had the ball in OUR TERRITORY!

I have to imagine that Coughlin now realizes that with a debilitating loss like this he has to at the VERY LEAST make the playoffs now or he is a goner. AT this point I could care less, apparently that would make me a prime candidate for the Giants 53 man roster.

Did you see Plaxico smiling and having a great time right after the whistle? Why does he even bother playing. I want a team full of Shockey's that get heated when they lose. Not "Oh well, there it goes again" guys that can e happy after a loss. Especially after being a major part of the loss. I hate Burress. Not only for his play, but he sucks as a human. I came across him at training camp and wanted to slap him across his gangly face. I would love to see him cut at the end of the year.

  9. No matter how much Manning deserves to be benched, it can't be done until they are out of it. As bad as things look at the moment, it wont be over until they lose next week. This is an injury depleted team on offense and defense. There's more problems on this team than Eli.

Well the play calling is a problem.

But hey, how many times did Eli get sacked yesterday?

Stop with the injury nonsense. Eli sucks plain and simple. Sucks. Sucks and Sucks. He's garbage. He clearly was missing open receivers, and by missing, I meant not throwing to the open receiver. This loser only seems to have 2 quarters of football in him per game.

  10. maybe eli needs to be in a warm weather climate like san diego.

I wish that were the case too, however, it's not like his play improves when the temperature is high. Maybe he should've wanted to play for such a bad franchise.

  11. Offensive linemen put a lot of pressure on their legs to hold their stance. the power comes from the leg. He needs his legs to be completely healthy.

    I don't expect him back.

Every player in every sport needs their legs. Power comes from there yes. The fibula is not a key bone because it's not weight bearing. If it were the tibia or femur, that would be a much different story.

Never said he was going to be back.

  12. The thing is you can't compare Eli to what other QB's did to justify how he's playing now. It offers me no solace to know that other QB's struggled early in their careers, considering how poorly he is playing. When a QB is turning sure TD's into INT's it's more than disheartening. When a third year QB is showing absolutely no sign of growth, that's a huge sign that something is wrong. You can blame play-calling you can blame coaching, both of which factor in, however the game comes down to execution. With Eli being as erratic a passer as he is, it's difficult for the offense to have faith that Eli is going to put the ball where it should be.

With how erratically he throw the ball, the receivers have to be down right scared they are going to get leveled.

  13. Well, the crazy thing about Romo is how he's playing with a line that was highly criticized coming into this year. So either he's that good or the line has really stepped up. Romo had all day to throw, and got the ball where it needed to be. 22 for 29 for 306 and 5 TD? That's no mistake. Plus the fact he's completing passes at over 70%. He looks more like the #1 pick then the #1 pick does. So much for "learning" on the job huh Eli?

  14. stop wasting your time writing stuff like this.... its thanksgiving.... spend some time with you family and stop with the conspiracy theories

Well, it's not a conspiracy theory. It's clearly a compilation of facts that show a trend.

A conspiracy theory would would be saying that Eli is tanking because his girlfriend asked for him to do so because she likes sleeping with losers.
