  1. Nem, why don't you take a look at his career background before you go to town on him. Normally I wouldn't be too hot on a guy like this coming in, because he's a release from a team I think we are better than. But at DE the Eagles are deep, nobody too outstanding apart from Trent Cole, but they are deep. It's possible that the Eagles let him go due to him having such a history, but we signed him for a million bucks for one year and we need depth and he could be the best possibility to get that.

Nevermind the fact the guy got shot.

  2. I can answer the Strahan question for you. Absolutely not. The guy is not coming out of retirement at this point. And it would send the wrong message to the rest of the D-line and reserves if we did (try to lure him back). I think if Osi does miss time, and the Giants don't have confidence that Tollefson or Wynn can do the job effectively enough, they will move Kiwanuka back to end. We have much more quality depth at OLB than at DE. Either way, I'm through with panic mode. If we lose Osi, it's a huge loss, but not a loss we can't overcome thanks to Spags and the leadership on that defense. I know guys will step up, and Tuck, Robbins, and crew will play like men possessed.

Yeah, I think it says to the reserves, "we can get a future hall of famer that has helped get to two and win one superbowl. Shut the fuck up and go have a sammich while waiting your turn."

That's what I think it says.

  3. The question is not aimed at us, Giants fans, but to the sports world in general.

And I agree. The media went mostly to the Patriots and what a disappointment they were not necessarily how amazing the Giants defense was. Then the game was swept quickly and neatly under the rug to wait for another preseason of the Giants "sucking."

I hope they suck as badly as they did last year.

  4. Melky seemed to step up and produce last year, that's what matters. The team didn't fall apart when Melky came in, they thrived. He played real well, especially in the field. He's got a cannon for an arm and has range for days.

Sneaky good, like Manny? Is that the Manny cutting off Damon, or the Manny trotting for a ball that falls two feet in front of him?

Matsui has been picked off second by the catcher on a snap throw. He's a clown. Sick to watching Boston buddy.

Matsui and Sheffield proved my theory right last year that the Yanks had too many players that thought they needed to hit homeruns. Once Sheff and Matsui went down young guys came in that jsut wanted to get hits, they did and the Yanks scored 930 runs. Without Sheffield and Matsui.

They don't need Matsui. his role on the team is more revenue related. I'd rather get Melky experience, because his hitting will be better this year.

Nothing more than a fourth outfielder? Good luck with J.D. Drew.

  5. I'd be for that too. I hate Giambi and the fact he can only hit one pitch, in one location to one part of the field. Melky at least at one point of the season lead the AL in outfield assists...I hope he plays a lot of games this season.

I'll do that too. Anything to get that circus out of LF and get an actual athlete out there owuld be great.

  6. It does take about 5 minutes to run around him.

Furthermore, up to this year, Luke underachieved so it's not like we wouldn't be used to it.

That at the very least is more protection than Whitfield provided.

Bottom line, Diehl cannot be successful at LT for the course of the season. He's a nice band-aid, but that's it.

  7. Back to the point of the thread.....

If Tiki can be a good coach, this is awesome. The thing about Jacobs is that he's very raw an emotional. If Tiki can get Jacobs to stay focused, he'll be a monster.

The Giants will not waste a, early draft pick on a RB, nor will they sign one in FA. I think they'll be content with Ward as a back up change of pace. If they kept signing Mike Cloud, you know they don't value the back up running back.

If anything, they'll draft a RB next year, when there is a better crop of back coming out.

Just like FA in baseball, teams get all hyped up about players because they are the only ones out there. The best RB's in the draft will be gone long before the Giants pick. Unless they plan on taking a "project" in the fourth/fifth round.

  8. I don't think it's really possible to anyone to do anything other than underachieve on that team.

But seriously, the Cards did have two 100 reception receivers. He's seems to be excellent for pass protection.

  9. Mussina definitely shouldn't be calling anyone out as it isn't his place to do so. He's done nothing but be painfully mediocre. Though calling out Pavano isn't even really calling out a member of the team, considering you have to play to be on the team. Plus that pussy Pavano said that the clubhouse not liking him is media driven, well apparently not you fucking dripping wet pussy.

  10. You say that like we're racist partners, personally, I hate the spic.

Nemesis is of "Latin" decent? Maybe that's why he wasn't too keen on the white player comment? Just know that I made that comment not based in anything other than an observation and no knowledge of your heritage Nem....
