  1. Why? When Zito will be in uniform come Spring Training '07 and we have our future closer? and future OF.

Milledge isnt gonna be as good as people think. between his attitude and he really hasnt shown anythnig playing wise. and If Heilman is ur future closer i pity u.

  2. Even though it probably will not accomplish nothing, this is what needed to happen sooner than later. Everyone knows TO is really only playing football for the money. Just some specualtion, but I would assume that he would be happier catching 10 passes and losing a game than catching 2 passes and winning a game. How many practices has terrell even been in? I think 5-7 at the most. On the other hand, there is no way that Parcells cannot play him. Owens is arguably the best WR in the game and taking him out of the offense would be like suicide. Even though I believe they could get by with Terry Glenn as the #1, the Cowboys would not want to do that. I guess we'll just wait and see...like last year in Philadephia. Must feel good to be a Giants fan right now :TU:

actually hes gone to about 16 out of 30 something practices not 5-7 at most

  3. Yep, that's what all the Eagle's fans were saying. Word for word.

yeah but TO just missed practices and meetings then made fun of the team and coach to the media. practice has been cuz hes hurt (even though he shouldve been back) and meetings were who knows hes TO but it really hasnt been a big deal yet.

  4. MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (Aug. 25, 2006) -- Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was arrested outside a bar early Aug. 25 and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

has he impressed anyone in the nfl yet I have not heard his name since the draft last year

i havent heard much bout him either...except for in my football draft wen he was the first DB taken which was the worst pick ever. 22 DB's got picked be4 i picked even my first one and i still ended up wit champ bailey and ronde barber.

  5. Honeymoon's over already?

Report: Cowboys fine Owens for absences

    NFL.com wire reports

IRVING, Texas (Aug. 27, 2006) -- Terrell Owens has finally pushed the Dallas Cowboys too far, drawing a $9,500 fine for missing a team meeting and a rehabilitation session and being late to an offensive meeting, The Dallas Morning News reported.

"That's our club business. That's going to be accounted for," team owner Jerry Jones told the newspaper.

The incidents occurred Aug. 24, the team's final day preparing for a preseason game against San Francisco. The Cowboys beat the 49ers 17-7, making them 3-0 this preseason without Owens playing any of the games because of a hamstring injury that's also kept him out of 19 of 31 practices since the start of training camp.

Neither team officials nor Owens' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, immediately returned calls to The Associated Press seeking comment.

During a postgame television interview, Jones did not mention the fine but answered several other questions about Owens. Jones said his only concern with the receiver is "injury, not all this other stuff you hear about."

Owens' past is filled with run-ins with quarterbacks, coaches and others in his own organization. San Francisco and Philadelphia got rid of him, but the Cowboys welcomed him with open arms and a lucrative contract in March, four days after the Eagles released him.

Owens vowed to be a better man and a better teammate in Dallas. While the fine is the most drastic, he already has done plenty to stand out.

He missed much of the offseason training program -- with permission -- and turned his hamstring injury into an attention-getter by flying in specialists to help him rehabilitate and wearing a cycling team outfit one day while pedaling a stationary bicycle.

After returning to practice for several days, coach Bill Parcells ruled him out of a Monday night game and Owens hasn't practiced since. He said he aggravated the injury because the club pushed him too hard. When Parcells said this week that he needs to see Owens on the field, T.O. responded that there's 10 years of tape to show what he can do.

Jones seemed to downplay the drama surrounding Owens' injury by noting that Carolina's Steve Smith and Pittsburgh's Hines Ward also have been slowed by hamstring injuries without drawing the same scrutiny as Owens. He also recalled Deion Sanders' ability to play well after flying in from baseball games and missing long stretches of practice.

"I know this -- when he's healthy, he's going to help us win these ballgames," Jones said.

The Cowboys play their final preseason game Aug. 31 at home against Minnesota. The opener is Sept. 10 at Jacksonville.

TO really hasn't done anything horrible or extreme yet. The media is blowin evrything way out of proportion and making too big of a deal out of little things like always. plenty of players miss meetings and get fined and miss rehab sessions but not all of them then hav a whole story on it on 5 different TV shows and in every news paper. TO will be fine this really isnt a big deal. He carries 9500 in his pocket wen he goes out.

  6. A guy like Melky is gonna be a good player but is over achieving right now. the reason for much of melky's success is becuz he gets pitches to hit. pitchers must pitch around hitters in the yankee line up like Giambi and then r put in situations where they must pitch to hitters like Melky and Posada and Cano. I'm not dissin Melky but hes over achieving. i think the mets should've definitely traded heilman and Milledge to the A's for Zito when they had the chance

  7. Pitcher Seo and catcher Navarro for hard luck pitcher Hendrikson and catcher Toby Hall.

I can’t really say for sure who came out on top. The pitchers are 50/50, but I think Navarro has a lot more upside than Hall. At one time, I was hoping Navarro would be the heir apparent to Posada.

i think trades like that...just ignore...they're gonna have no meaning in the league at all. Two mediocre players to terrible teams

  8. what a great attempt at trying to own me good job. :TU:

o wait. that was actually horrible

Maybe you should learn a few things from this guy, specifically about disposables

actually i was just pissed switzerland lost so i took it out on you. and now i guess we all know it was you hacking muffins account that night :o:o

  9. What will go down as one of the most lopsided trades in history (AJ Pierzynski for Joe Nathan, Francisco Liriano, and Boof Bonser), and with a success rate of 2/3, you have to think that Bonser will do well. Minnesota treats their pitching prospects well so expect decent #2-3 starter stuff from Bonser for years to come.

lol you loser. who cares about book bonser.

  10. well Bernie has always been a "clutch" hitter. its just in his later years he hasnt been the force in a normal at bat that he used to be. in a clutch situation hed be one of the first guys id want up...definitely before a-rod.

  11. Milledge already has his home run which was bigger than Melky's and I'm not going around asking for his jersey

Face it, Melky's going to be a good player. But his first home run isn't going to be that memorable. Considering it took what 120 ABs to get?

ok so melky isnt a power hitter. and what does his first homerun being memorable have to do with anything. I mean look whose first homerun is memorable. Juan Rivera, did he turn into any succesful player?
