I hate Pat Shurmur, I think hes an awful head coach.
Yep. The NFL has gone full on air raid and he's dink and dunk all day
-
Apple put the clamps on Julio Jones Thursday
-
Most talk is Herbert is going to stay at Oregon if that's the case the #1 QB probably becomes Daniel Jones
-
Mehbert on the Pac-12 Network right now
-
Tua is good, but yeah against LSU his receivers bailed him out on some pretty had throws
-
I am not high on Herbert. Depending on where they pick I would take Jonah Williams then try to come back into the 1st round for Will Grier
-
I am not totally sold on the QB's either why I said if they stay at 1 or 2 that would probably be reaching if you want to look at overall big board.I wouldn't say reach for a QB.
You don't reach for the guy you want, or you think is going to be your franchise QB.
They didnt see it last year in the current crop, my best guess if Mayfield was the guy, but the Browns coveted him.
Like I said they banked on the idea that the Oline couldn't get any worse, well it did, which is a problem.
You can have the greatest QB in the game, without an Oline he's not going to win much.
Eli is far from being even good at this point, with this Oline it just means he's the worst in the NFL.
Maybe if Solder was worth the money, and we could find a single other guard to start, it wouldn't of been so bad.
Honestly this team can go a season without drafting the next franchise QB, they could make a plays for some free agents, or trade for a back up somewhere as a stop gap.
From everything I've read Herbert, Jones, Finley, Lock are looking like all first round talent QBs.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the same number taken this year as last.
I wouldn't mind the Giants landing at 6th or 7th and drafting a Jonah Williams, Clelin Ferrell, or Greedy Williams, many other needs to fill and then wait for Tua, Fromm, Mond or Eason in 2020
-
The problem is going into to next year they've painted themselves into a corner to reach for a QB in a weaker class. They banked on the idea that the Oline would be improved, and it wasnt.
Eli needs a good Oline, they don't have one.
Barkley pick shows they thought the Oline would be improved, you don't pick a RB at #2 with the idea that your Oline is garbage.
It back fired, the Oline is the worst in the NFL by all standards.
Which means Eli is the worst in the NFL.
Tell me what good would any of the QBs done this year? Besides the Giants ending up in the same situation?
They either drafted a QB last year, then went heavy Oline/RB next year.
Or they draft Barkley/Oline and get a QB next year.
Just in this scenario we ended up with the best RB possible.
I have no idea what they've seen from Eli the past two years that said yeah let's roll with him at 37 without a future plan at the most important position in the sport.
I guess the thought process was it was all McAdoo's fault and if we put Eli in an offense with a veteran coach, who's done well with veterans it'll fix Eli.
-
Well to be fair, Green Bay did invest a first round pick into Rodgers.
It's not like they were sitting there with Webb and Lauletta backing up Favre.
But let's just ignore that fact lol
That's his point they went into the season knowing Eli was done and did nothing about it
-
The Giants are 30th in rushing yards, Barkley's big play once every twenty touches has really helped them
-
Guys like Vernon will restructure. They won't just release him, he'll kill the cap.
They have an opt out for 2019 that'll save them $11.5 mill
-
Collins is surrounded by dogshit.
I have no idea how Curtis Riley won the starting gig at free safety. He takes the worst angles Ive ever seen
If they paired him with a good free safety he wouldn't be asked to pick up the coverage slack I would of giving my left nut for Tyrann Mathieu
-
Glad we took a RB we don't know how to use
-
I still don't like how they knew the kids knee was bum, but they still ended up drafting him.
Guess a move for the future years hopefully, supposed to be a pretty good corner.
Yeah if Beal was in the 2019 draft he's higher than a 3rd rounder. Only thing that sucks is they lose one year of his four year rookie deal
-
Rosen made a couple pretty throws but right now Im questioning his decision making and ability to read defenses. Nothing that cant be taught but hes a couple years away.
Rosen was my guy early in the draft process, but I heard comps to Bradford and then starting seeing them myself as I got further into his games
-
Barkley is much stronger than Barry Sanders with the same elusiveness. Hes going to break a lot more tackles.
Quicker decision maker too
-
Guess the Giants had the right idea of building team than getting QB
-
Nah Carr will be 28 by next season, Justin Herbert 21. Give me Herbert
-
Future Giants QB vs. Washington today
-
Can't wait to see Vernon beat his man and bust through the line to still somehow miss sacking the QB four times a game.
He's the king of the almost sack
-
Dude starts for the Saints and while not tearing it up, the guy you say was graded higher than him is looking for a job today.
He starts at LG, He was so bad at OT they drafted Ryan Ramczyk two years after Peat. The Giants should of drafted Ramczyk over Engram tbh
-
Beckham a stronger arm than Eli
-
Why do they give these delays to Barkley that take time to develop?
-
To be fair to Collins they are terrible at FS and ask him to do a lot
