  1. I think he can still be productive as long as he doesn't suffer anymore effects from the accident. 2 of his most productive seasons came in '05 and '06 and before he got hurt this past season he had 52 tackles in 5 games. For one year it's not a bad signing and you can never have enough linebacker depth.

  2. I've read that apparently 7 other teams have been in contact with the Falcons concerning Hall including everyone in our division. The Cowboy's are rumored to be pushing hard. I'm not sure if I like the idea of having to give up a 1st and 3rd rounder for Hall, I guess it's how good you think he is and while I think he's a good cb I also don't think he's top 5 either.

Also read in a newsday article that despite Trufant being tagged by the Seahawk's we may still try to trade for him though I imagine their asking price would be higher than the Falcon's for Hall.

According to a league source familiar with the Giants' situation, Trufant is on their radar as a potential acquisition once the trading period begins next Friday. Seattle has designated Trufant as their "franchise" player, meaning Seattle has virtually exclusive negotiating rights with him for the 2008 season. But that does not preclude them from making a trade. He is coming off his best season, with a career-high seven interceptions.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that the Giants have signed offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride to a two-year extension. Gilbride, who received a lot of praise for his play-calling during the playoffs, had a contract that was set to expire next month. He'll now be with the team through the 2009-10 season.

I wasn't the biggest Gilbride fan during the regular season, though he did seem to listen to Manning more and call more plays catering to Eli's strength's during the postseason and did a nice job during the playoff run.

  4. Apologies if this is in the wrong section but figured I'd intoduce myself. I've been diehard Giants and Mets for around 20 years or so. This was by far the most amazing season I've ever witnessed and easily the sweetest championship win in our history (i've seen all 3)

Anyways that's it I look foward to talking Giants football with all of you and sharing my hatred for the rest of the NFC East!! :D
