Is it just me or were some of those bastards in Philly cheering when Reyes got hurt than booed him when he got up. Reyes stays in the game and a couple pitches later Wright drills an RBI triple, justice served! 2-0 Metropolitans

Thanks bro.
Here's a couple Bradshaw's he made tonight for you to pick from, let me know if they're cool
*edit* lol he just pm'd me another one, the guys a beast. He's not a Giants fan but he grew up near Ahmad so he roots for him.
*double edit* I thought the left side of the above sig was a little plain so I added an animated gif of Ahmad's td run versus Buffalo

Troy Smith played in a handfull of games last season. I don't think they'll use their first pick on a qb. Smart choice for Mcnair, he really doesn't have much left
-
Hey man, I just noticed your Bradshaw sig, that shit is cool!! I love Bradshaw! Where can I get something like that?
Thanks man, a buddy of mine at another forum made it for me. He made the LT as well but I put the vid gif in it. I suck at sigs but I'll ask him if he can make another Bradshaw.

SOS means nothing now, especially in our division. We haven't even been through the draft yet.
-
I'm reminded of Ric Flair when I see the WOOOOOOOO.
Anyways I don't see Phillips falling to us but I'm praying he does. If not than either Reggie Smith or Antoine Cason. If we take Cason in the first than Dajuan Morgan or Tyrelle Johnson with our 2nd.

Lol I've seen a lot of iggles fans wanting CJ. How quickly they forget about what T.O did to them just a few years ago. I think the Bengals are sick of all the trouble makers and primadonnas they've had recently. If they don't trade him we'll see how long Chad sits out while getting fined his game checks.

I saw this rumor on foxsports (#7 on the list),
I firmly believe — and so do three league sources I checked in with — that there is at least a 50-50 chance Jeremy Shockey is a Saint by the time the NFL draft is over.http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8032770...62&ATT=2212
I want Shock back but one thing that I'm surprised about is his silence so far this offseason. I mean why isn't he coming out and denying all these rumors going around about him not being happy and that he would welcome a trade to the Saints?
I like the idea of using he and Boss in 2 te formations and I also think having Boss will keep Shock fresh. I love the guy but IF these rumors are true and he doesn't want to be a Giant than it's time to part ways IMO. I always figured him to finish his career with us and it would pain me to see him in another teams uniform.

I read that thread again while watching the vid of the game and it's much better fwiw.

Wow, that's a nice find. That guy did an excellent job. Great read.

Sorry I know this isn't Giants related but at another board I frequent there's an interesting debate about whether TD deserves to be in the hall. I was curious to see what you guys think. The majority there think he's a sure fire HOF'er, I'm in the minority. He had 3 good seasons, is that really enough to put him in the hall? It's unfortunate that his career was cut short because of injuries but it is what it is, I just don't see why someone should get in for a couple great years.
What say you?

Eli has shown that he can handle the heat. It hasn't always been pretty and he's not an elite qb but I will say this, if there's 2 minutes left in the game and I need a td to win I'll take Eli all day over the majority of qb's in the league. Eli thrives under pressure, the Denver game in '05, Philly last year, da Bears this season and of course the superbowl. Wish we'd use the no-huddle more during games. No matter how bad he's played during a game he doesn't let it affect him. He's got a tremendous amount of heart. I was so happy for him when we won the bowl. Vindication baby!!!!
-
I agree that Eli should get it, but people tend to vote with their hearts instead of their heads.

Haha, Giants fans have never been happier to be wrong. I always try to stay optimistic, some of it's the homer in me for sure. At another board I post at a Giants fan started wigging out after we lost to Dallas for the second time, I just thought it was waaaay to early write the season off. I really, really wanted Dallas again in the playoffs, and not to sound arrogant, I just knew they were beatable and didn't' think they were as dominant as the media portrayed. I didn't predict a win because I never do (superstitious) but I knew we could hang with them, and look what happened. Best season ever.
*fires up the superbowl for the billionth time*

April 5, 2008Eli & Plaxico up for Halas Awards
Eli Manning and Plaxico Burress, who teamed up for the winning touchdown in Super Bowl XLII, are now going head to head for a postseason award.
Both Giants are finalists for the Halas Award, which is presented annually by the Professional Football Writers of America. It goes to the “individual in the NFL who overcame the most adversity to succeed last season.”
Manning was nominated, according to official PFWA ballot, for “playing under intense scrutiny in the largest media market” and playing “the best games of his career when they mattered most.” Burress was nominated because “he endured a season of serious ankle injuries that limited his ability to practice” and was still the Giants’ No. 1 receiver.
The competition, however, is stiff. Also nominated were Kevin Everett, the former Bills tight end who recovered from a life-threatening spine injury and was able to walk into Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo to watch the Bills-Giants game on Dec. 23; Greg Ellis, the Cowboys linebacker who was the NFL Comeback Player of the Year, for recording 12 ½ sacks less than a year after tearing his Achilles tendon; and the entire Washington Redskins team for rallying to make the playoffs after the tragic death of Sean Taylor.
Voting by the PFWA on all the awards will continue through April 26 and will be announced during the NFL Draft.
It will probably be Kevin Everett or the Redskins but it's nice to see Eli and Plax get their props.

I was checking out a Giants blog and they mentioned some potential picks for big blue. I don't know much about Johnson, anyone watch him play in college or familiar with him?
Another player the GMen are interested in is Arkansas State Safety Tyrell Johnson, who was the defensive player of the year in the Sun Belt Conference. He had 94 tackles, 6 interceptions and 4 forced fumbles this season. He is 6′ 202lbs, led all safeties in the bench press and broad jump at the combine and clocked in at 4.42 in the 40 yard dash. This kid is flying up draft boards, and would look great in blue next season.here's a couple others
The Giants have shown interest in Boston College offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus. He is a right tackle prospect who should be selected around when the Giants pick in the first round. This is not our top need, but maybe we are trying to get someone who is high on Cherilus to trade down, or maybe we are looking for the heir to Kareem McKenzie down the road.A player that the Giants have to be interested in right now is Tennessee linebacker Jerod Mayo. Mayo can play all three linebackers spots at 6′2 233lbs, and is a great tackler with sideline to sideline speed. He may be the best player on the board when the Giants are on the clock. Plus I think Mel Kiper has a man crush on him and says he will be a better pro than USC’s Keith Rivers, if that is worth anything.I'll be pissed if we take an offensive tackle with our first, apparently this draft is deep at that position.

Toylorized56,, THANK YOU sooo much buddy... finally got a chance to relive the moment..
i must say.. Webster blew a few covers during the game.. this time i get to watch closely... we serously need some DB help from the draft..
No problem man. I still have to relive the moment atleast once a week. Yeah I'm not totally sold on Webster yet either. This years draft is deep with cb's so we should be able to get a solid one. If Kenny Phillips falls to us then Reese will snag him, we need a young safety and he's the best this draft has to offer, otherwise I think we'll go linebacker or cornerback.

favorite looked like Nelson Figueroa, but Willie says 4 man for now

Nelson Figueroa: Could Fill in for Pedro - 4/2/2008 9:00:00 AMUpdate:
Figueroa, who may be option No. 1 to replace Pedro Martinez in the Mets' rotation, was called up from Triple-A Wednesday, the Westchester-Journal News' Mets blog reports.
Recommendation:
Other options include stretching out Jorge Sosa, making Aaron Heilman a starter, waiting for Orlando Hernandez to be ready to come off the disabled list or signing Claudio Vargas. Figueroa was solid most of the spring until the last week and has experience as a starter, making him the apparent choice to replace Pedro. Manager Willie Randolph said that while Figueroa could get a start next weekend against the Brewers as the team prefers to leave Sosa in the bullpen, for now, the Mets will use a four-man rotation.

Sorry to hear about your loss Taylor. My mother passed away 12 years ago from Cancer. You learn to deal with it, but you never get over it.
Yeah, I'm usually good until I hear one of the songs played at her funeral, than it's Niagra Falls. Sorry about your mom bro. My mother is getting up there in age and still smokes, I can't say anything considering I do too.
My cousin was a big Giants fan, I've had her Giant hats in my room since she passed. I knew she was watching over Big Blue.

Nice job by Ollie and the bats were alive. Up next the Braves. I know most consider the Phillies as our biggest rival but I really, really can't stand Atlanta, even more than Philly.

I've always liked Wagner, but I admit that's the homer in me. He can be a prick at times but every team needs someone not afraid to speak his mind. He has looked good so far
