New York Giants sign Hakeem Nicks

While you were sleeping in (or still hating the Cleveland Indians for giving Victor Martinez to the Red Sox,) the New York Giants agreed to terms with first round draft pick Hakeem Nicks, wide receiver from North Carolina. Both the Star-Ledger and Daily News report that the deal will earn Nicks $12.5 million. Ralph Vacchiano of the Daily News reports that Nicks signed a five year deal with the Giants.

 

Everything that I've read suggests that Nicks will sign the deal after he reports to Giants training camp tomorrow. This means that all rookies will report to Giants training camp on time this year. Can't have any complaints about that, Giants fans.
