jranieli
Omar has officially stated that the Mets are not going after Manny and there will be no major moves after re-signing Ollie. He is happy with the team he has. So let me ask... Is he happy about a cripple playing second base? Is he happy with a catcher who can't call a game and who cannot hit the ball out of the infield? Is he happy with a platoon in left field? Is he happy giving Cora a 2 million contract, where money could have went somewhere else? Is he happy with only one left handed relief specialist in the bull pen?

Funny thing just might happen though, by June 1st the place might not sell out every night ......

You think by signing Manny, attendance, jersey sales and a bunch of more sales would take care of his contract but they are probably just trying to pay off their debt from Madoff. Manny would sell more jerseys this year alone than any player in history. Remember back around 1994 95 when Manny first came up and Yankee Stadium was not sold out every game? Everytime Cleveland came in there were rows and rows of his fans from Washington Heights that would cheer him on and wave the Dominican flag, they would be at Citifield as much as possible and would add a real buzz to the place.. But hey back in 1999 Fernando Tatis knocked in 100 runs so you never know..........
