mws44
I know a lot of you guys don't like Heilman, but I've always liked him and thought he had good stuff. I've been watching him very closely lately and this is what I have noticed: It seems to me that when he was at his most dominant, his arm angle was much closer to a 3/4 angle. Ever since this season started his arm angle for the most part is almost completely side arm, and that is not even consistantly so. Some pitches he delivers at a higher angle, but many are very side armed. When his fast ball specifically comes from the side arm angle, it stays flat with a horizontal break only. The ball just stays on the same plane and breaks back across the plate. When that ball came out of the 3/4 angle it tended to drop quite a bit, making it much harder to hit. Any Thoughts? jranieli
Yes, he blows. He gives up way to many homeruns. He might be better utilized as a starter.
