Jay Lesner
So, Pedro is out for a month or so. Aight. Now what? Are we going to a 4-man rotation? Starting a prospect? How do we bounce back?
Taylorized56
favorite looked like Nelson Figueroa, but Willie says 4 man for now http://www.rotowire.com/roto_to_gnews.htm?...8&sport=mlb Nelson Figueroa: Could Fill in for Pedro - 4/2/2008 9:00:00 AM Update: Figueroa, who may be option No. 1 to replace Pedro Martinez in the Mets' rotation, was called up from Triple-A Wednesday, the Westchester-Journal News' Mets blog reports. Recommendation: Other options include stretching out Jorge Sosa, making Aaron Heilman a starter, waiting for Orlando Hernandez to be ready to come off the disabled list or signing Claudio Vargas. Figueroa was solid most of the spring until the last week and has experience as a starter, making him the apparent choice to replace Pedro. Manager Willie Randolph said that while Figueroa could get a start next weekend against the Brewers as the team prefers to leave Sosa in the bullpen, for now, the Mets will use a four-man rotation.
