fishgutmartyr
not good, but not IR, either. Osi out for 2 months ... by Mike Garafolo Monday September 10, 2007, 3:38 PM Or thereabouts. Giants DE Osi Umenyiora, who didn't even last one full defensive series last night against the Cowboys, has a knee injury that likely will keep him out of action for about two months, according to someone who spoke with Umenyiora. The person, who requested anonymity because injury information is supposed to be distributed by the Giants, said an MRI this morning gave little reason to hope Umenyiora would return anytime soon from a medial collateral ligament injury. Starting running back Brandon Jacobs (sprained knee) was also knocked out of last night's 45-35 loss to the Cowboys. He is expected to miss approximately three weeks. No word yet on the short- or long-term diagnoses for quarterback Eli Manning, who left the game late in the fourth quarter after his right shoulder was injured. Great. Time to move Kiwi back. That's too long to rotate with Awasome and Joseph.
