I go to school In Jersey (about 5 minutes away from the meadowlands) I once asked the lady for a "ham and turkey on a hero, with lettuce tomato and mustard" 1. She lost track of what I said 2. She looked at me like I had 8 heads and said "son, what's a hero?" My roommate from the NJ Shore, LBI to be exact and he looks at me whenever my NYC mannerisms pop up.
