Lughead
.............link By ERNIE PALLADINO THE JOURNAL NEWS (Original publication: January 9, 2007) Tom Coughlin's future as Giants coach remained fuzzy a day after the team's elimination from the playoffs. EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Tom Coughlin did not address the media yesterday as the Giants packed up their belongings and left their locker room for the final time this season. That might not sound like much, but it is significant in that coaches traditionally meet the press to review the season, their players and, in times like these, their coaching futures on the final day of team activity. Coughlin's refusal to come out of the office marked the first time a Giants coach has dodged the media since 1992, when Ray Handley was fired three days after his final game. Handley did do his radio show that Monday night, and actually knew late co-owner Wellington Mara had decided to fire him when he hit the airwaves.
