that's the point. no rookie is going to come in here and start. its just not happening. he was a very talented CB, similar to Cromartie in draft situation. a talented player who just needed some experience. he clearly struggled at times, but also showed his talent. i just dont think that there was a rookie that we could have drafted that would have come in and been a better pro player this year than corey webster. covering profession wide receivers is difficult. ashton youboty couldnt cover steve smith, guaranteed.
webster doesnt have half the talent that cromartie has. the only similarity they share is that they were both injured.

i actually think it was pretty good. shockey is a probowler every year. tim carter should be good but he just cant stay healthy (unlucky). no 3rd rounder. nick greisen in the fourth was a pretty good pickup.
the 02 draft was a total failure outside of shockey. tim carter blows, i think Gorilla put it best when he said that he couldnt catch aids in a sudanese whore house.

it's hard to believe a projected mid second round pick was BPA...the draft class must have been filled with felons...
did chad jackson commit murder? he is just as fast as moss, he's bigger, and had a more productive career. oh, but he's not someone's brother.
-
Money, just the other day we were discussing how watson was borderline first round material. would you think that it would be worth the risk to have taken him in the 3rd? i know what's done is done, but we drafted rod babers in the 4th, no way could this be more of a waste.
-
If we hadn't already drafted a receiver, I would love to land Demetrius Williams this round.
i would have wanted skyler green, a poor man's sinorce moss.
-
moss was our top rated receiver? that explains a lot.

i'm out for the night, i really didnt mean to come across as one of those guys that bitches about everything (pick). i'm not all that upset over the players, i think we gathered a lot of talent today, just not in the most dire areas. i've been on record of saying take the bpa no matter what, but i really felt chad jackson was the obvious choice in the first.

Whoops...
Yeah, I got inside information....one of our fourth rounders played for BC!
oh, my bad, i guess i thought you were going way back to snee.
-
i'd agree shockjock, but i think if we had interest in these guys, we'd have already taken them.
-
referring to chris snee

well shoot, if he's a good enough player i don't see why it matters. people get hurt, it happens.
-
darnell bing is still on the board.
-
No, but others are claiming this a terrible draft and showing no faith in EAs picks. I can understand that you guys don't agree with the picks. But some of you guys are declaring this a horrible draft already and you and I both can agree that that's wrong.
well generally in a disagreement, one side feels they are right, and that the other side is wrong.
-
Props from the true fans EA
as if those that question the pick arent true fans. like i said, enough with the bullshit.
-
Agreed.
People go from one week ago saying that he's one of the best GMs in football and showing full faith in the guy to saying he had a terrible draft and is a horrible GM in a matter of three picks. It's absolutely disgusting and I pray that not many opposing fans come on to this board and the GMB.
actually the fab 4 have been hating him all along. enough with the holier than thou bullshit gateb. it's not that we don't like the players, most of us wanted other players and we do not understand this strategy.

Who consider Gerris Wilkinson slow? Morons, that's who.
that was the first profile i read, which was on nfl.com
-
i'd like to throw a name out there, antaaj hawthorne, the guy that smoked pot and dropped to the 6th last year.
-
This is obviously for a special teams pick and I guess we're hoping we can land Gabe Watson tomorrow.
or not at all, i'm pretty sure we're not targeting him.
-
weighs 239, and is considered slow.
-
-
great, he started 13 games at DE, we needed more of those undersized DEs.
-
what the HELL was that all about?!
-
wow, baltimore took someone so obscure they dont have a profile for him on nfl.com
-
i was actually laughing because he was the sorry excuse of a CB that played back in 2000. but yes he was the wendys guy too, who is also dead by the way.
OH NO!!!
in New York Giants

Let's compare their final seasons at their respective schools. both played in the SEC which is a pretty tough conference.
Chad Jackson
Catches 88
Yards 900
TDs 9
Tim Carter
Catches 36
Yards 591
TDs 2
if i threw in previous seasons jackson would blow him away even more.
