  1. Yes, Tynes kicked us into the Superbowl...on his third try. It still amazes me he gets credit for that when in reality he nearly cost us the game.

and thats the difference between winning and losing. thanks captain obvious.

  2.

You think so? He was the co SEC defensive player of the year. if you look at the list of past SEC defensive players of the year, a vast majority were first round picks.

Not everyone watches and pays full attention to the draft. I am one of those people. I would never known his name if he didnt make it a public statement he was gay. Is that fair?

Here's how I see it.. and it cuts both ways... let me first say that personally I'm not too comfortable with the Gay in your face attitude some gay people try to achieve... I think a lot of us could give 2 shits about people's sexuality... one of my army buddies put it best when he said "I love gay people.. I wish all of you were gay because the more gay people there are the more pussy is left for me"... Now the flip side of the coin there is anger and hatred towards gays simply because of their sexuality... and as usual both extremes are never appealing.

thats fine but i think this guy is a narsacist.

did a custom google search for all of january and here's the first result

    january 14th, cbs sports: 5th round http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1700418/michael-sam

    2nd result january 27th optimum scouting: 6th round http://optimumscouting.com/rankings/static-rankings/de-rankings.html

these were the actual articles being written before he came out, not what people are NOW claiming the situation was

so hee was projected 5 or 6th and went 7th. To me thats not a big deal.Or his stock dropping for that matter. Look at the qb the browns got wasnt he supposed to go in the first picks?

  3.

Yeah, but look at the reaction of fans when someone like Alex Rodruigez or Aaron Rodgers is rumored to be gay, the media and fans go ape shit. Won't it be nice when there are enough openly gay players in the nfl and other sports that this won't be a story.

honestly i personally can care less. wouldnt it be nice if no one cared about what other people did in their own bedroom? its just the way the media twists it. i feelthat its a non story and should be treated as such.

  4. I really don't get the resentment, well, i do......

This is news because he is breaking down stereotypes and barriers. Because of him other players will be able to live their lives in the open, not having tp wiorry thay the paparazzi will take a picture of them with their lovers in private and expose their secret.

Its about freedom, plain and simple.

yeah but thats a price anyone in the nfl will have to pay. paparazzi will follow a story on anyone who is doing something tabloid worthy, gay or not.

  5. this is the problem:

he was a 7th round pick and the only reason why his name is known is because he said he was gay. :gay:

if he didnt come out and say that not one of us would know his name. fucking bullshit. if your gay great for you. there are most likely plenty of gay football players but you dont see them making a scene. just stfu and play football.

  6. I think just shows they werent worried about losing him. Sure it would have been nice to have him for his entire career like Strahan. But the writings on the wall. Im sure if another tem offered him a 7-8 mill deal and tuck was opened to a lesser one from the Giants it wouldve happened. But then the Raiders come in and ovr pay him and the Giants move on. Thats that. If Tuck was so in love with New Jersey he wouldve just stayed for the deal we offered. But apparantly he is a greedy bastard. Now he has to move from where he's been living for the past 10 years and move his family as well. I sound like sour grapes but he makes enough money that another 4-5 million dollars would not by any means make him or break him. Remember this, he chose to leave, he couldve stayed.

  7.

it's a lot more money. if we wanted to keep joseph it probably wouldn't have precluded us from signing jennings. also jennings is a very young 28, he doesn't have a lot of NFL carries

A "young 28" doesnt hold water for me. The fact is he is not gonna be on the team in 3 years. And if he is how much longer after that? Theres no reason we couldnt have matched the offer LJ got. It just makes more sense to me to go after a RB in the draft. Brown will be back and Hillis isnt a world beater but can do a decent job when called on.

  8. i wanted to keep joseph too, but jennings' contract is likely pretty cheap so he's not a reason why we didn't keep joseph

Jennings is 28 and will not be on the team in 3 years. Linval could have been here for 5 with a little more money. Not only that RB come a dime a dozen. DT's dont.

  9. Not for nothing but we signed a 28 year old running back and didnt keep Linval? So we claim to want to get younger while letting go of a DT that is young and best years are ahead of him and sign a RB who has 2 maybe 3 years left in the tank. Horrible signing and if this continues Im selling my PSL's and seson tix because I will not contribute to bullshit like this anymore thank you very much. It boggles my mind anyone likes this.

  10. Arena League/XFL style. Ugh. Less is more, Nike. Less is more.

I agree. they dont even look like football jerseys. Take the name, numbers, and logos off and its looks like a Target or Hoome Depot uniform. Slap a fuckin name tag on it and im sure there is a mass manufactored buisness somewhere that they could represent. Fucking garbage.
