It seems Wang is going to stay in the pen until he stops sucking dicks. I'd rather have Hughes stay with the ML club. Whats going back down to AAA to shit on batters going to do to help his development? I guess he goes to the pen and will act sort of like a sixth starter.

Last year he was really good at handling the pen. This year he's mixing and matching too much like Joe Torre used to do. He needs to spread the innings around but sometimes you need to go to your better pitchers regardless of handedness. He is doing a decent job with the lineup and trying to maximize everyone's usefulness and getting players ABs. With the way the bench is and Matsui's health his hands are tied that's why we saw a line-up like last night's. We should never see lineups with two black holes like Molina and Ransom against the Red Sox.

I cannot even imagine what you would do if you were a fan of one of the 29 other teams that cannot even sniff the small level of embarassment your franchise has had.

I should have said of the last 5 years. 2004 is still brought up by the media constantly. My team didn't make the playoffs last year either in the last year of a stadium that's seen a lot more than Shea did. I wouldn't call the Royals not making the playoffs an embarrassment.

Shit starting pitching. Inept offense. Now even the bullpen sucks (outside of Mariano) which is like 2007. Hovering around .500 and really getting nowhere. Relying on Home Runs. I wish I could enjoy April. As a Yankee fan I've had my fill with embarrassment.

Mike Garafolo, of the Newark Star-Ledger, reports the New York Giants see Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin as a No. 2 receiver but are said to be higher on Boldin than Cleveland Browns WR Braylon Edwards.

I have a feeling we won't get either player.

If Denver was able to get a first this year and next for Cutler, I am sure thats what Arizona wants. My problem is if we don't get him(Boldin) Philadelphia probably will and he will be kicking our ass twice a year. Give a 1st,2nd and 5th basically our Jeremy Shockey picks we stole from New Orleans and then a #1 next year.

That's way too much considering our secondary isn't bad. I wouldn't give up that much just to keep him away from Philly.

So what do we do? Sign Jim Edmonds? Someone else from our minor league system? We have no hitters down there and Melky might be our best bet just because he has the most ML experience. Well, at least we have Swish and losing Nady just fucks up our depth a bit.

I agree, this works out perfect for the yankees...actually, cashman should have enver traded for Nady and Marte.

 

Anyway, my guess is J-Rod gets called up as the 5th outfielder since Matsui cant play the field(or hit anymore)

I hate spring training, I hate all forms of preseason. You just can't put any stock into it. But, I am anxious, the regular season should have started already. Also, I don't understand why the Yankees aren't starting the season at home? Whatever, Yankee stadium will look real nice on HDTV. Too bad I'll never sit in decent seats ever. Unless I win the lotto or something.

I can't wait. Some people out there still underrate us. Also, I do not think that the Red Sox will be all that good. They're sort of like us in 2006.

Swish should either be starting over Nady or just put his ass in CF. Gardener is having a great spring (so did Cano in 2008) but I take all preseason shit with a brick of salt. Swisher is not a good CF but his bat will make up for it and we don't need any more black holes in the lineup come April (3B Ransom). Of course Swisher not being on the bench makes our back ups even shittier but who cares, it's already not that good so fuck it. We need all the bats we can get right now since we dont have everyone's favorite gay athlete.

2k9 is the only choice you have on the 360. 2k sports has a 3rd party exclusivity deal with MLB. So, Sony can still make a game for their own system. If I had a PS3 I'd buy the show. I have MLB 2k7 and it's pretty much 2k's best baseball video game for the 360, I skipped last year and I'm skipping this year until they decide to release a better product.

I don't think it's a bad idea, but there is a lot of stuff that needs to be changed. It should take place in December instead. There should be less restrictions on pitchers and no days off between the rounds.

I know it's a whole other sport and a whole other team. But it didn't work for the Yankees very well in 2008.

I can't wait to see what the Giants will do to address the WR position. Our defense looks fucking scary...again. Love it.
