  1. ..so true - we CREATE the ideas that NFL managements utilize to improve their teams. Accorsi has fought us and ended up making HUGE mistakes like Ron Dayne, William Joseph, and Eli Manning. These bad choices by EA have proved to the Maras that the FAB 4 were and are the legitimate source for free agent and draftee evaluations - EA is just a dinosaur from the old days. He spends much time in his office dreaming of the old days, while the FAB 4 is doing the Yeoman's work for this off season acquisitions and draft strategy.

And then you wake up, realize you are still the pathetic loser that you were when you went to sleep, and cry about how cruel life is and how you wish you were relevant. Thanks god you have the rest of the FAG 4 to feed your delusions of relevance and intelligence. :LMAO:

  2. The Fab Four has learned through it's close ties to the FO that Jeff Garcia is being targeted as the free agemt QB to step in to answer our concerns. We have as of yet given this move our full stamp of approval although we feel this is a step in the right direction.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, dye, but outside of the FAG 4, your "stamp of approval" is meaningless to anyone here, as well as the Giants FO. No offense to you, of course. ;)

  3. I do, Peyton has won the MVP twice. Peyton's success is the only reason Eli got drafted as high as he did. Now that the league has seen that Roethlisberger is the much better QB, it is apparent Eli was highly overrated due to his last name. Unfortunately, Accorsi was dopey enough to buy the "manning" hype, instead of taking the better QB in Big Ben. Accorsi made a mistake that will haunt the Giants for years, as they chose a "Kyle Boller" over a championship QB. This error is as bad as his choice of Ron Dayne over Shaun Alexander.

I need a good laugh this morning. How about one of your "on the mark" predictions?

  4. you cant help but feel pitty for all these people who live in fantasy land and are just so wrapped up with stats and records...

there are no records for leadership, respect and toughness...those are the things that make champions...not 30 + td passes in a season and getting humilated in the first round of playoffs...

And being the leader of the FAG 4 gives you the greatest insight into leadership qualities?:LMAO:

  5. like Nutty said, its good to be optimistic, but lets stay realistic at the same time...you sound like you belong over at giants.com...alot balls have to fall in the right place this season for the NYG's to EVEN repeat there success of last...this is the NFL and there is such a thing called PARITY...

if our defense is bollstered in the area's the FAB 4 have been mentioning, and if Eli can play error free football, we have a pretty solid chance of repeating last years records...i would not go as far as to say we will win the Superbowl bc for that to happen, you NEED a field general behind center and someone with mental toughness and apptitude...things Eli lacks

Intelligence and a connection with reality ... things lockhart lacks. How about some new predictions for us. I'm sure this MB can use a good laugh.

  6. Luckily, it appears there will be more than a few good veteran QBs available this offseason for the Giants to get. As Eli continues to flounder early next season the Giants can bench the weak-armed hick and replace him with a veteran - this could propel the Giants deep into the playoffs.

I would imagine when you talk to people, no one can hear you cause your head is so far up your ass. Let me clue you into reality, lockjerk -- ELI WILL BE THE STARTING QB NEXT SEASON AND FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. That is a fact of life, no matter how much you dislike him. That fact will not change, no matter how much you whine, bitch and hissy fit about it. If your name is lockhart, reality sucks.

  7. My opinion is that we are built to win now with a few additions to the defense and can't afford to give Eli another year. I just don't think he has what it takes. I've been watching professional football for forty years. I saw to many flaws over the last two thirds of the season. I certainly hope I'm wrong. Even when Phil was struggling early on I saw a toughness and awareness that showed he would succeed. The death knell for me last year was Eli standing behind the bench looking defeated one to many times. If your willing to sacrifice next year while so many other Giants are in their prime that's fine. But I'm not.

Keeping in mind that realistically, it doesn't matter what any of us here think. It's what EA and TC think that rules the day. Sorry for that dose of reality.

  8. And hear about it for the rest of my life from Eagles, Redskins and <gasp> Cowboys fans? I'd rather win it on a level playing field.

The Redskins are experts at winning SBs during "asterisk" seasons.

  9. Finally you have chosen the path of football enlightenment through the FAB 4 - you shall not regret it as you wow your family and friends with your keen football senses and insight.

That and some Ex Lax will get him diarrahea. <_<

  10. Welcome aboard and nice work with good insights.

While I see the reasoning behind a lot of your selections I firmly believe that adding defensive playmakers will take this team to the next level moreso than anything we might add on offense. I also beleive that finding a guy who can replace Luke Petigout as early as 2007 is more important than finding Amani Toomer's replacement. While I think we've seen everything Tim Carter can give us I still don't think the Jamar Taylor experiment should be considered done and buried. I don't think it's a reach at this point to say that by the beginning of 2007 Jamar Taylor could play Amani Toomer's spot. However that will require him to stay healthy and gain some good experience this season.

I'd also caution you not to think of this years draft as a vehicle for supplying us with instant starters for the upcoming season, It rarely works that well and if we have to depend on that we're running a big risk.

I also tend to think you might be a bit too optimistic in our defense as it stands now. While I realize we lost some starters due to injury, your proposed defense for 2006 is not terribly different personell than what we had this past year. I don't see it being superior enough that we'd make a deep playoff run. Can we win the division? Yes. Can we win a playoff game? Maybe. But the current defense isn't nearly talented or deep enough to be a consistent dominant force and I firmly believe that that's how you win championships.

I think if the Giants don't focus on defense first, they will come up on the short end of a ot of 42-35 games. You cannot count on the offense to score every time they get the ball, especially with Hufnagle as the OC. A good defense will take some of the pressure off of the offense to score on every series.

  11. I tend to agree that I'll be shocked if Greisen gets a rich deal elsewhere but to be honest we can get a guy with as much talent and better upside than Greisen for similar money in free agency. When Nick's healthy I like his effort as a reserve but the guy simply cannot stay healthy. Even if he were to accept backups money I still think we should at least explore other options. I said in Money's thread that a guy like Rocky Calmus on Indy, would be a better addition than keeping Greisen, and he'd likely cost about the same. He's had some injury issues of his own but I think he's a better player than Nick and he has yet to play his best ball. I think we've seen the best Greisen can put forward.

I agree with you totally. We've seen the best of Griesen. He's a good backup, but not good enough to be an effective starter. The only thing he really has going for him here is the fact that he knows the Giants defensive system.

  12. Come down to DC to see the Skins game. We can hook up and tailgate together. When I come up there, I expect to hook up with you guys and tailgate at Giants Stadium. I usually come up for 2-3 games a year. met some great guys from Giants.com last season at the playoff game and other games. :TU:

  13. I am a fanatical Giants fan for 40+ years now, and I love nothing more than to talk with other knowledgable Giants fans about our team. That being said, I can no longer tolerate the anti-Eli/Plax/Shockey/Joseph/Feely venom spewed on a daily basis by the "FAB 4." I have come here to avoid those anti-Giants trolls, and am happy to see that they are not here....at this time. I am mature and objective enough to know that the Giants and their players are not perfect and have their warts, and am willing to call a spade a spade regarding the individual players and the organization as a whole. But I don't want to be beat over the head, on a daily basis, with individual posters' biases/hate of individual players. If that can be avoided here, this place will flourish for years to come. If not, people will leave and find alternative places to post about/root for the Giants. I appreciate all that Va. Giant, BronxRik, Nemesis and the rest of you are trying to do for us. Let's hope that this effort fares better than Giants.com. Thanks again.

  14. And you know your comments are true because you were a star WR at a prestigious college that you won't name or state when you went there. BTW, why, if you were such a star, were you not choosen in the NFL draft? Also, why didn't you play in the Canadian League (if the NFL didn't want you) or the Arena Football League? Face it, on the Giants mb and the old Sportswrath board, your comments were ridiculed because you know nothing and are LOCKFART THE LIAR

lockhart is the only "person" I've ever come into contact with that gets off on being an ornery asshole every chance he gets. I can just see him in his mom's basement, with the keyboard on his lap and his pants down around his ankles. :LMAO:
