  1. Today's race would be great if Junior crashes bigtime and in so doing, collects Gordon, Johnson, and Stewart. Then it all comes down to a nasty tight race for the last 20 laps between Newman, Biffle, Martin, Kahn, McMurray and Mayfield.........but out of the clear blue comes Kyle Petty to take the checkered by a nose!!!! :D

Now that would be a race worth watching!!!!!

    Who is Kahn???

  2. Miller throws down beer gauntlet

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Miller Brewing Company is putting its paint scheme where its mouth is, challenging Budweiser to accept a bet for the upcoming Nextel Cup season.

Tom Long, chief marketing officer for Miller, sent a letter on Friday to Anheuser-Busch vice president of brand management Marlene Coulis offering a wager that Kurt Busch, driving the No. 2 Dodges sponsored by Miller, will finish ahead of Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet in this year's final standings.

    The stakes?

The loser must change his paint scheme to the winning brand's colors for one Nextel Cup points race in 2007.

Budweiser has until the start of Sunday's Daytona 500 to accept the bet.

"Healthy, fun-spirited competition is the essence of sport and of business; and the Miller versus Bud battle is one great example of this," Long said. "We both have a great tradition in the sport, and a little added public competition will be fun

You know what needs to be done? Get rid of the restrictor plates, and get rid of the spoilers. That way, you don't have to worry about bump drafting because the raw power will enable drivers to pass on your own like you USED to be able to, and at the same time you have to slow down into the turns at Daytona manually, otherwise you're dead.

NASCAR is getting more and more ridiculous. It's becoming less of a talent and more of just a bunch of prettyboys like Gordon, Johnson, Busch, etc. If you actually made it without spoilers and restrictors, then you have a real strategic and skillful sport.

Elliot, the Labontes, Wallace, Martin, Rudd, Schrader, etc. would school everyone. Any single one of us here could get into a racecar and race at the level of drivers like Gordon assuming we had the same car and proper endurance training.

NASCAR is becoming a haven for less and less talented drivers. It's pathetic.

    Busch is a prettyboy?????
