Allstarjim
Looks like Parnell is likely our new closer. Which, actually, I like. I think Parnell will be there for a long time. As for what the Mets got in return... well, they got 2 players to be named and cash. They also traded a player who was on track to vesting an option for $17.5 million next season, and are now off the hook, trading K-Rod well before that becomes a reality. I'm thinking had they waited he might've been untradeable. So Alderson makes a play, and maybe this will create some flexibility and add to the possibility of resigning Jose Reyes.
