  1. normally during games i start about 100 threads complaining about the refs, the players or the coaches out of sheer rage.... but I don't want to spam the boards here like I do over there.... I guess Ill just have to reserve myself tonight..... sigh

    smu...go ahead....I'll help out...

  2. Given the weather, I think we'll see a lot of running anyway. As much as I like prime time games, I can't stand looking at the clock all day waiting for the game.. such is life.

Come 11:15 I'll be either pissed or estatic....but either way....I'll be wide awake.... :brooding:

  3. Yeah my dad is stationed in Kaiserslautern, I'll be here for about 3 years or so. I need to start speaking german so I can pick up some German hotties.

excuse the spelling but this will work...I'll right it as i would say it...

  4. A Hybrid of the team that beat the Skins and lost to the Colts would be nice. The Offense was awesome against the Colts and the Defense was dominating against the Skins. I want that team.

    Agreed.

I am thinking that this game will come down to coaching....Huff, Lewis and Coughlin better have been productive this week game planning.

  5. With the "other" board down...I'll sit it out here...

Should be a great game...I don't know which team the Giants will put on the field tonight.

Will it be the team that beat Wash or the one that lost to Indy...

Or will it be the one that went to Seattle....

I hope it's a hybrid that's well prepared for the Bears....

  6. Forecast is looking a lot better for game time. There's gonna be a heavy batch of rain coming down starting around 5 or 6, and hopefully will clear out by game time.

I'm feeling a lot more optimistic than I did yesterday.

And no, I'm not the weather geek here, my Dad is the one that told me all this. :P

    sure...blame your parents....

  7. Some may think that the Giants are now a different team. With the recent plagued of injuries it may not be unfathomable. But I am sticking to what has been set, i.e.- what has been put in place by our coaching staff.

This week we will truly see that impact that our coaching staff has had on the depth of this team. How well the message of expectation was delivered and administered will be clearly reflected by the play of our 2nd string players. I think they respond to the call and have a solid game against the Bears.

These changes in personnel offer our coaches a new perspective on how they want to approach things. I hope they learned their lessons in the earlier weeks when they tried to do things that the player package in place could not execute effectively....the bye changed all that....and we've been ballin ever since...I say the roll continues....

I wish I was a fly on the wall in the coaches meeting room today...

  8. I'm not so sure about that. TO got a penalty today for doing something by himself. Carr did it back to us and got a penalty as well (and that was a really stupid mistake for a QB, by the way). My point is, the refs are being really inconsistent with this celebration penalty, and we always seem to have dumb penalties go against us at the worst possible moment. I hope I'm wrong on this, but I could see it happening.

    Was a group celebration nitwit...

What we need now is something to counter when an opposing team does it....

    (fucking drama ain't it)

  9. is going to depend upon whether or not Eli is for real . All the offseason moves were good in my opinion and the problems we had last year have been addressed. Am I stating the obvious ?

I think that he will play a major role...what I am really looking for is that team chemistry...on all three teams...our offense seems to be there...our defense is forming a nice bond...the ST? too early in the season...

But one thing I have noticed is that these teams that win the superbowl are solid as a team...the players have great instincts with respect to one anothers capabilities...

  10. I would think, barring serious injury, that Rob Johnson will be #2?

Tiki's backup is a question mark. I like Jacobs, and think he might be the answer...however, the staff feels he cannot pick up the blitz

As a resident of WNY and remembering Johnsons abilities...I seriously doubt that Johnson will make the team...unless he plays better than in Buffalo.

Coughlin made a comment in his last report that Jacobs was running very well...2 goal line tds...1 with some o help...the other was all on his own against 2 D players...

I am encourage at any rate that this could a great year....

I will try PMing some GMB members to come over here...

  11. all this talk about Shockey....no mention of Demps. i'm freakin' happy we got a guy that can lay people out, guys like Shockey, of all people...who knows, it may have been cheap? i didn't see it.....

Either way...I'm psyched to hear about an excellent training camp in progress...

Demps sounds like he is the upgrade that we needed in the secondary...as far as shockey goes...I own one of his jerseys and would wear it proudly on any given day....fuck the media...they are well know for taking ANY issue and elevating it to suit their purpose...
