I disagree.    In any business, you need to pay your performers and send a clear message that if you work hard, you will get paid.    He's far more than a running back and is a fan favorite for more than one reason.      On what planet can Evan Ingram make more money than Saquon?     I think the fact that RBs have a shorter shelf life than any other football player out there is a great reason to pay them more.    The league can go pass happy all they want, I want the run to stay our focal point of attack.    I want us to run the ball at will and a RB like Saquon can afford you that and more.

I'm a financial professional and saving money was my forte however, there are times when I'm more than happy to spend because of the ROI.

Easy, TE's routinely play into their mid 30's at a relatively high level. RB's seem to fall of a cliff in their productivity right around 28 years old. So, If I'm a GM and I am staring at my 26-27 year old RB that is looking for a long term deal, Who may be great right now. The chances are that in 2-3 years his productivity is going to fall off a cliff, if he even stays healthy that long considering he has a injury history.

    Can we pay him?

After the Season, I see us Franchising Jones if he plays well. And signing Barkley.
We will have the cap space for the following season for that. Couple that with dumping the useless Golladay contract.

  3. Just throwing this out there.

I use YoutuveTV as may cable sub.

If I turn on my expressVPN and set myself in NY. When I launch Youtubetv from Chrome it detects my Location as NY and give me the NY local channels.

I am currently sitting in Polk County, FL

  4. I think 6-11 7-10 is doable. Outside 8-9.

I think Jones shows that he can be a Franchise QB but just barely. I think the end result and draft order determines if we keep him or not. Barkley is gone no matter if he lights it up or not. It has been proven time and time again a good oline can make a pedestrian RB into an a pro bowler.

If Jones can prove he is capable. Then the draft is going to be used to shore up CB, LB, WR, TE

  5. I still like Daniel Jones, But not sold. I hope we still maintain enough pieces around him for him to perform. We have really screwed the pooch on giving him an OL that is avg.

I would like to think we can spend future draft picks on Linemen DL and OL and then skill players.

Because I am old School, Win the trenches and the rest doesn't matter

Can we just get a defensive coordinator that doesn't try to reinvent the fucking wheel?

Bettcher and his hybrid defense and Graham and his "ameba" defense only have one thing in common and that's being bottom of the NFL in ever category.

For a Defense that has been on the field pretty much the whole game. The fact that they have only let up 17 points is pretty good.
