point out your team of choice so I can point out some trends.... Oh yea thats right, your too embarassed to tell us who you root for
He's a Giants fan, he's just a huge dick head. The dog used to be cool, but some how down the line he became a douche bag.
-
hurry up and fire his ass.
-
Figured Jackson would do that, man he sucks.

Plenty of players get hurt playing wr as well. You play to win. That means putting your best returner in on ko's.
Yeah but they get hurt doing their job instead of collarteral duty whichcould be avoided.

No way we pick up FA linemen--we're good for a couple more years with our starters on the oline, so draft is the way to go. Same with our dline, which is outstanding when at full strength (remember, we get Osi back next season).
Our defensive backs are in the best situation they've been since the 90's. You guys are selling Ross way short--he's only in his second year, he'll improve. And Thomas and Dockery are fine where they are.
If we spend money, it has to be on linebackers. I'm going to eat crow here and now: Wilkinson is to our draft what Barret Green was to our FA acquisitions: the kid has potential, but he's never on the field, so the potential is worthless. At the beginning of the season, I thought he was going to be a starter. We need linebackers.
I agree with you that we aren't going to do much in free agency--and in a sick way, it's in our interests not to.
Good god, Barret Green

I'm all for calling the blatant calls, the ones where the blocker basically bear hugs the defender and takes him down. But a rusher can do damn near anything he wants to get by the blocker, but the blocker must keep his hands inside and can't grab on. I just think if a defender is allowed to push a receiver out of bounds to prevent a catch, blockers should be allowed a little more flexibility when doing their job.
With the push out the official had to predict that the receiver was going to land in bounds but was pushed out. With the close plays its just not fair that the ref would have to travel back in time and alter the space-time continuum to determine what the player would have done had he not been pushed out.
Holding is holding theres no judgement call on it.

Personally I would hang out in spots where I never need a gun nor a body guard. That whole business of sagging their pants and walking with a limp has got to go...
Personally if I were hard up on money I would find out where you hung out and thought you were safe, then rob you there because I would know you weren't carrying anything or had any protection. Home isn't totally safe either, evidence: Sean Taylor.
-
i suppose there's merit to that argument. personally i'd just hire a bodyguard
Personally I would hire a body guard and carry a gun.
-
t a club with a gun WITH A GUN??? why does he need a gun to go out to a nightclub
Why? Well... truth be told, I love the Giants but, if I saw him at a club i'd try to rob his ass too. Thats why a lot of celebrity types have guns.
-
agreed. he should be criticized for having it discharge into his leg. he shouldn't be criticized for being at the club
Fixed, theres nothing wrong with having a gun, obviously many MANY NFL players do not feel safe and have begun carrying weapons.
-
if he did in fact carry a loaded handgun into a club in NYC he has bigger problems than a hole in his leg. He is going to jail I think.
I know he doesn't have a NY carry permit. Almost impossable to get unless former law enforcement.
think it is mandatory jail otherwise.
All you need is justification, being a well known millionair usually leads to justification.

I thought Shockey was a great player and was a big fan. But truth be told it looks like he just didn't fit in right with the team and am glad he is no longer with the Giants.

my game stream is about 2 minutes behind the live feed, so the whole time I was wondering what boss did.

Steve Smith = Money

Let me 1st start off by saying how much I love Jacobs. I think he instills fear in the opposing team and is a very intense runner. But, I think the Giants should let him go if he starts asking for big money. A couple of reasons why: 1) Let's face it...Bradshaw might be the best RB prospect the Giants have ever had. The guy can flat out run. He makes cuts like Barry Sanders. The kid is going to be an all-pro....mark my words. 2) The big bruising backs like Jacobs have notoriously short careers. Injuries will start to mount and your left with a second string RB and (bradshaw if they have to let him go because of a large Jacobs contract) will be among the league leaders in carries and rushing yards for another team. 3) Let's face it #2...this offensive line is the best in the league. Keep them intact and you could have Pee Wee Herman at RB.
Like I said, If Jacobs wants big time money, it may be time to say goodbye. You can only pay so many players. At some point you have to say sayonara to a great player. I say spend the money in more important areas like 1) keeping the O-Line intact (Diehl will want left tackle money at some point) 2) Re-sign Pierce and any other important Defensive player at all costs. There are certain areas you address and certain areas you don't. With an O-Line like our, it would be foolish to reach and give Jacobs big money when you have Ward and Bradshaw. Depth is a beautiful thing and when you have it...you have to use it to your advantage.
Our O-line is signed for years already. I think the Giants should let Ward walk and re-sign Jacobs. It wouldn't be the first time the Giants gave a RB a huge contract (Tiki)
-
if you are out of the U.S. you can watch the Yahoo NFL Live feed, you have to pay for it though.
-
Hmmmm....I thought I read about Pierce not being happy with his contract. The three you stated are the big ones plus Toomer. I doubt Toomer will want much money and should be kept as he can be very clutch. Webster could be franchised or he will get a big payday somewhere else. I think there will only be room for one with Jacobs or Ward and I've heard that the Giants want to lock down Eli long-term soon (contract expires 2010). If the Giants win another SB I am sure there will be a few more re-structuring wanted.
They won't use the franchise tag on Webster, the Giants don't believe in using the franchise tag.

I'm not too worried about it. How many here haven't gotten behind the wheel with a little bit of alcohol in their bodies? And most think they can drive just fine... not saying what Kareem did was ok.. but let's not make it bigger than what it is.
I can say I haven't. Drinking and driving shouldn't be tolerated at all.
-
I am a Giants fan, but i hope the courts throw the book at him and any other NFL player who decides to drive drunk.
-
I can't see how the Giants would let Jacobs go.

I have a lot of respect for Coughlin in keeping his cool with Plaxico and the reporters. Coughlin is trying to keep his conversation with Plaxico in house. But regardless of what Coughlin might say, the situation is not good, and needs to go up the chain of command a little. If I’m Mara/Tisch, I’m talking to Jerry Reese right now, instructing him to have a little “come to Jesus” meeting with Plaxico. Sadly, after what I saw on the sidelines yesterday, it’s time for another Jerry Reese intervention.
I don’t know exactly how it should be worded, but if I were Jerry Reese, it would go something like this:
“Don’t fuck with MY team. That’s right….MY team. Mr. Mara and Mr. Tisch gave ME the authority to manage the coaching staff and players. When you mouth off to MY coach, you’re mouthing off to me. So if you’ve got something up your ass, you say it to me, right now. Otherwise, you shut your mouth, or by God I’ll ship your fucking butt off to Detroit and you’ll understand the true meaning of frustration.”
And regardless of what happens, if I’m Jerry Reese, I’m working the phones for a Plaxico trade. Right now, with our depth, and our talent, I’m willing to trade talent for chemistry. I like the idea of Plaxico + the New Orleans 2nd round pick to Arizona for Larry Fitzgerald. If not the Cards, then move on to another team…..this league is littered with “superstars” on mediocre teams. I’d take Braylon Edwards for the same deal any day. Heck, I’d like to see Calvin Johnson as a Giant.
From everything I’ve heard, Manningham was a complete stud at Michigan….almost the same caliber as Braylon Edwards, according to many alumni I’ve talked to. I don’t buy into the “can’t get to the Super Bowl without Plaxico garbage”….sure they can.
Sounds like something I would hear in the Military, unfortunately if the NFL worked like the military the only people willing to play in the NFL are those in the military.

thats just fucked up on the chiefs part.
