Hard to believe that this guy is still avaliable. I think we should go after him, if steve smith doesn't pan out he could fill in for toomer for a reasonable price

Guys...lets think about this...
We signed a former George-Mason power foward....Draft a corner in the 7th with a 41 inch vertical...and now we got a DT with serious hops.....
isn't it obvious that we are not only creating a strong football team, but putting together the best street hoops team in the NFL....
haha

Thank god this is over, now we can move onto the draft....

Yes! remember when warran sapp played the giants like and old violin !!
what bothers me is this is very similar to what happened with Plax Burress
almost identical. The Giants took him off the radar and then second meeting
turned into a deal within 48 hrs.
well lets hope the same happens here....

Giants | Team to visit with Arrington again
Thu, 20 Apr 2006 05:47:06 -0700
Ralph Vacchiano, of the New York Daily News, reports free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins) will have a second visit with the New York Giants Thursday, April 20. The team is back in the Arrington chase, and this time it appears Arrington may be serious about striking a deal. Arrington has even agreed to undergo a physical, something he declined to do when he first visited the Giants March 11-12. That's an important concession for Arrington because of league-wide concerns about the health of his surgically repaired right knee. According to Kyle Harden, an associate to Arrington's agents, Arrington intends to sign with someone before the April 29 NFL Draft - possibly even in the next few days. Harden said the Giants are the only team Arrington is planning to visit before the draft. Yesterday, Harden did not give any indication that Arrington's asking price will go down. "The team that gets LaVar is getting a three-time Pro Bowler," he said. "LaVar is looking for a fair-market deal." If Arrington passes the physical, a Giants source said they would be willing to re-open negotiations if his price is reasonable.
I think arrington and his agent are sweating now!
All those good LB's in the draft are making them think.

does anyone have any infomation on WP situation

The thought crossed my mind, but he's going to be overpriced and that bum wheel will not make him fast and that's what we need.
I say draft for youth and speed. If anything, I may not have brought in Plax and would have gone for even more speed, but that's just me and that ship has sailed. Could have waited a year and gotten T.O., but even writing that hurts my head.
yea guess your right. so how about moss's brother im pretty sure he'll be there for the 25th selection

I know this guy was hurt last year but still is a very talented wr when healthy, maybe we could trade a 2 or 3 round pick for him.
i meant javon walker

i want the giants to give tyree a chance, i know hes a valuable player at special teams but he shows great potential at wr.

who cares, all he was doing for this organization was using up car space

In my other topic, regarding Accorsi's moves and upgrading the secondary, I threw out a mock draft that included us drafting a LB in round 1. It generated some interest so I thought that this could be a good topic on its own.
I listed my preferences in this order: Howard, Sims, Ryans, Dqwell Jackson, Carpenter
The reason that Howard edges out Sims in my book is because he used to play safety so he's got great hands and is good in coverage, hits like a train and he doesnt have the injury history. I also think Howard has a much higher ceiling than Sims.
Here are the scouting reports on each player:
