Ranked 18th?! That's damn kind, if you ask me.

...and they followed from the four corners of Tri-State and they offered up burnt offerings to the new born messiah who would lead them up out of the darkness of failed prospects, Dave Brown the Cryer and Opie Cookie Puss the Clueless. As they walked up out of the darkness there were shouts of joy and hosannas from the people to their Messiah.

They all come around and see the light, don't they? I endured the ridicule of the Eli Apologists and the Homers, with a quiet dignity, knowing you would come around. And, here you are, my flock. Follow me out of the darkness, leaving the scraps of the Manning years behind. . .

He's correct. A loss following the Bears debacle and this ship goes down for the count. Team Dissension is right around the corner. But we have to look at the bright side: it rids the organization of Tom Coughlin, problemo numero uno.
-
Wow! How far has this team fallen that its success falls upon an injury prone rookie dwarf to save the season?
-
Coaching is certainly a big part of the problem. In fact, I fear Eli will be held back from the expected progress due to the piss poor quality tutoring he is receiving and the equally foolish play selection.
But Manning's problems go beyond blaming it all on the coaching staff. I watch him play and there is no fire burning. He seems listless and lifeless out there many games. And what should be evident to all who watch the games is that there is no chemistry on the field between he and his teammates. Hell, no one even talks to him on the sidelines. The respect isn't there, nor is the leadership that is required from the QB position.
-
That is true about Coughlin. His lack of composure on the sidelines is baffling. You would think after being in the game for around 40 years he would have a better understanding of what is going on. He's always a step behind the game and the officials.
-
What's his problem? We watched him wilt like a tulip last year from around week 5. More of the same this year. He hasn't looked like a legitimate NFL QB in a month. But the good news is he is still ranked higher than future Hall of Fame QB J.P. Losman! (But J.P. has half as many interceptions).

Can the doctors up your medication to keep you slurring incoherently, and off the PC?

Everytime you post you substantiate my criticism.Good job ace on schooling us. I can't believe you are such a football guru. Way to prove we don't know what we are talking about.Oh wait....you just insulted us and didn't substantiate your criticism.

Derrick Ward will spell Jacobs next year. Besides, running backs are a dime a dozen, and can be had in the later rounds. The Giants need youth and speed at LB and in the secondary. We are going to have to take a RB in there somewhere. Brandon is going to be our No 1 next year and we need a plan B if he gets hurt. -
There are so many needs on this team. But if it isn't obvious that the great gamble for Manning has been a bust, then you're delusional. The Giants need, first, a QB. Manning isn't the one. He is, again, fading with each successive game. The same pattern emerged last year. A fine first month of the season, and then a gradual but steady decline each week, culminating in a post season performance that set records for ineptness. Trade Manning for a pick, get a new coaching staff, and maybe they're out of the doldrums and back on track. If not, it'll be more of the same ol', same ol'.

That isn't possible. Coughlin is the worst HC in the League, and the coaching staff he has assembled is a ragtag group of wannabe's. Until this organization cleans house, starting with the release of the entire coaching staff, they will be mired in mediocrity. It'll never happen, of course, as that would be a ballsy move by a very conservative, slow moving organization. But there is no team chemistry, no cohesion, and it gets worse after every bungled loss.. . .You should watch what you wish for, the Mara's the run the show now are inheritors, not builders of this franchise, so you may just get something of a worse coach. . .
I concur.Jakk , you are a total moron .... please give up .... retire .... go away....i used to think you were a harmless comical fool ..... but you are infact worse than that ......please just disappear.... soon ! -
Corey Webster aspires to be awful.Corey Webster was awful ...... Madison will be missed ! -
The lack of football knowledge in this thread, particularly about coaching, is staggering. A few of you "geniuses" are actually challenging JackStroud for the title.

Or anything you have to say, for that matter.I guess many posters aren't interested in this thread. -
Hehe. . .I'm gettin' a kick out of all the "fans" just now realizing what I have been saying for years. You know, Eli is a bust, TC can't coach, etc. Welcome to my world, fellas.

Tom Coughlin is a disaster and reason numero uno why this team is a laughingstock. Coughlin has never won a Super Bowl, and never will. He can take a team only so far, and he is at that point with the Giants. Too bad for this team, because they can certainly be better than they are. But with TC, and the buffoons he has hired, a legitimate run at a championship is nothing more than a dream.
Start with a new head coach, someone young and innovative from the college ranks, and that's the first step towards the necessary rebuilding that the organization will require.
Then, they need to address the quarterback issue. . .ugh.
We're in for trouble..

The 'Boys will moider the Giants next week. Romo seems to have already developed a sweet chemistry with Owens. Can you imagine what they are going to do against the League's softest secondary?
