I know this may have been said but Fred Robbins should've been selected. Wilson could be an alternate also.
-
It wouldn't surprise me if he fooled lots of people because this is exactly how he stated in 04 that the Giants will wear their red jerseys vs the Eagles. It would be even funnier if he was telling the truth.
-
Definitely, he's trying to make fun of the team even though it can really deceive people, that's what got me to laugh at it because I asked that same question as soon as I saw that. Trust me, unless there is really something funny going on here, Giants will never wear a pink jersey, they only wear their red alternate once a season.

Did anyone see this? lol

"Giants Will Wear Their Pink Jerseys on Sunday"
-
How about let's watch him play more than 2 and a half seasons?
-
oh yeah when was it that we were 9-7 this year ?
if you think we are going to beat the saints and redskins with what we have you are living a pipe dream
The article is saying if both teams end up 9-7 so I mentioned it that way. And by the way, who though Redskins would beat the Saints? You really don't know about this league. Personally I think the Giants will rally when Strahan comes back especially the defense and they will be a big surprise to plenty of people.
-
You'll be surprised what will happen.
-
Why would Atlanta at 9-7 make over the team that beat them earlier in the season at 9-7?
-
1. Better play-calling on both sides of the ball, especially defense (aggressive not soft ass zone schemes)
2. More Consistentcy
3. Better use of talent
-
He will start more games than the Fag 4's IQ's combined.

I do not understand why so many fans are calling for Emmons's head. Let's review why he should stay:
- At worst, he is the third best LB on the team. As much as I like Torbor, he has not proved himself to be as consistent and versatile as Emmons. Let's what until Wilkinson steps on the field before deciding if he can contribute this year, let alone demonstrate superior ability to an 11-year veteran.
- If the team intended on releasing him, he would be gone by now. When Emmons was injured last year, the team decided to place him on IR instead of risking further injury, despite his insistence on playing. The Giants would not have IR'ed him if they did not care about his future in football.
- With Arrington pencilled is as the starting SAM, Emmons is the only LB on the roster (aside from Pierce) with pro experience starting on the weakside. For Emmons to be cut, at least two WLBs will have to clearly outplay him during the preseason.
- After a year in which the Giants LB core was decimated by injuries, you would think that the Giants would collect and retain as many able-bodied, competant LBs as they possibly can.
I agree about why he would stay. Blackburn also has experience as a WLB, but I sure as hell would not want him in there. I wonder if the Giants would carry 7 LB's because if they would carry 6 then Blackburn would be in trouble.

Since our team is pretty much set for the season, I thought now would be a good time to hear some predictions. Here are the following categories:
1. Regular season record
2. How far do we go this season? Miss playoffs, same as last year, nfc championship etc..??
3. Who will lead the team in TD's?
4. Who will lead the team in tackles?
5. Who will lead the team in interceptions?
6. Who will lead the team in sacks?
Im curious to see the fab 4's season prediction given their extensive football knowledge. Although they might not be willing to put their money where their mouth is only to be proven wrong, yet again.
Here are mine.
1. 11-5. I think the NFC east will be very competitive this year but I think we are the favorites to emerge as champs again. I think it goes: Giants, Redskins, Cowboys, Eagles.
2. I think we win the NFC this year. I think the the following are the only legitimate contenders for the NFC: Seattle, Carolina, Arizona (yes, the Cards) and Chicago.
3. Tiki Barber will lead the team in TD's and total yards again. I expect a huge year from Plax, though.
4. AP will lead us in tackles. Lavar will be close behind.
5. Im gonna go with Webster as leader in picks. I think teams will go at him instead of Madison and hopefully he will make them pay.
6. I hope Osi only keeps getting better. Sky is the limit. He's my man to lead us in sacks.
I have VERY high expectations for this season and can't wait for it to start. GO GIANTS!
1. 13-3 at least (I feel more towards 14-2).
2. Giants will win the Superbowl with Eli as the MVP.
3. Eli Manning will have the most passing tds, Tiki will have the most rushing tds, and Burress will have the most receiving tds.
4. Pierce will lead the team in tackles.
5. Tough, Webster sounds like a good choice with Madison second but with a good number of ints.
6. Osi again

He has been the RCB in Miami for a while now and while they did say that he will be the LCB (on BBI) Webster was the LCB last year and remained on top on the Depth Chart. Just wondering if I missed something.
-
Gary Reasons was an ILB (one of the MLB's if you will), and Greisen wants to START at MLB. Are you suggesting that the Giants make Pierce play the position he started out on (ROLB/WLB)?
-
Eli will be fine. Accuracy will get better with more experience. He also was starting to notice secondary targets instead of throwing to the target he was intending to throw to before the snap. Eli is a very good QB when it comes to the end of halves. That should tell you a lot. He will keep getting better and better.

yes ! phil sims didnt have a career stellar completion % either.
expect for the 86 super bowl !
Yeah, and funny how he got a lot of heat early on in his career and look at what happened. Let those annoying FAGS criticize him. They will look even more stupider in the end. They are so annoying. It's like someone using the bathroom for a number 2 and you keep flushing the toilet but some parts of the number 2 just keeps popping back up. They don't quit.
-
His completion percentage will go up, but I'm not too concerned about it because like I said in the past, it is a misleading stat, just like QB Rating.

Greisen a back-up???? Hopefully he will be starting over that slow as shit Carlos Emmons, lord knows he can tackle better than that free agent bust.
Funny you say "slow as shit Carlos Emmons" when Nick Greisen was the slowest LB on the roster last year, and he still would be. Greisen lacks athleticism and speed. He has good instincts but even that can be inconsistent. Why should he start over Emmons when he wants to start as the MLB? I would like Greisen back but I wouldn't cry a river if he doesn't come back.
This team now makes players who weren't versatile, versatile, while those who were, they make them more versatile. Before we only knew Greisen as a MLB, then all of a sudden when Coughlin and his staff comes in, he comes in to play WLB/ROLB and the year after he enters the game in place of a struggling Reggie Torbor at the SLB/LOLB position. Carlos Emmons only was a SLB/LOLB, but in Training Camp he learned the WLB/ROLB position. I'm not sure if Blackburn played another position besides DE or MLB, but he learned the WLB/ROLB position a little, which is why he entered the game against the 49ers as a ROLB when Greisen got hurt.

IMO Damane Ducket can and will be better than Kenderick Allen. Ducket just needs more playing time and experience. He has a tendency of standing too tall when engaged, but that can be fixed. Giants can just draft one or two DT's and probably sign one or two and have a huge competition. The Giants will be fine. This team is on the way up.
-
This time of year it's all about acquiring as much talent as possible. Don't worry about how many safeties are on the roster. The only one's guaranteed to make the team at this point are Wilson and Demps. Everyone else is expendable due to their cheap price tags. I will say that watching the safety competition in camp will be one of the better positional battles. Butler, Brimmer, Shivers and Quentin Harris will all be banging heads
You can say that again. I pretty sure Butler will make it. I would like it if Shivers makes it. He has tons of potential. If only he hadn't of left college early.
-
I'm not totally that fond of him signing especially with the Jason Bell signing, but it'll be tough for Bell to make it anyway unless the Giants plan to carry more than 5 CB's. Giants will draft atleast one CB and Madison, Webster, McQuarters, and Deloatch aren't going anywhere. I agree about drafting another safety.

What's up Ryan? Good to hear from you. My wife and I had a baby in early March so my computer time isn't what it used to be.
Glad to hear the sound of my name illicits bad bathroom memories for you!
I'm doing fine. Like you my computer time has decreased. I'm currently using one at college since the one at home doesn't have the internet. Good to here from you.

That is a good idea. This offense has great potential and last year showed great fire power early on, and that was with a QB in his first full season starting.
Shockey to be traded?

Shockey is dangerous weapon. I believe the Ginats will find a way to give him more catches and get others involved as well.
