RUMORS: Schoen stays, Daboll out.

If true... great. The worst possible of all the decisions (of course).

I'm sure top-tier coaching candidates will be flocking to the team, hoping to work with this stacked roster and proven GM talent. We'll end up with a Buffalo assistant nobody has heard of, or maybe a college coach from the Tarheels that Schoen seems to love. Maybe Schoen can hire Rooney Mara as coach.

Please don't let this be the case... either keep both guys or (please) get rid of both.

Mary Mother of GOD... that would be the worst possible outcome.  Get rid of them both, keep Daboll... or I would even swallow the vomit and keep Schoen and Daboll before just keeping Schoen.  OMG this is horrible.  The current generation of Mara and assorted sycophants needs to be driven out of football management forever.

If keeping one, I would rather keep Daboll with new coordinators.

If we had the top pick or a clear shot at a top QB worthy of the top pick...I would say get rid of both.

But since it is a weak QB class apparently and we are gonna be closer to 10 than 1...I wonder if they don't just give up on QB in draft altogether.

Probably best available athlete at this point.  Just clean house already.  Schoen can be an assistant GM back at his beloved Buffalo.  Stop looking for these football gods at half ass non football places like New England, Buffalo, North Carolina, etc.  See what the Steelers, Eagles, San Francisco are doing.  Over the past 50 years they have been doing somethings right consistently.  Not New Fucking England, or Buffalo.... Jesus... why is this so hard.  Oh yeah they make it hard instead of simple.  Family ownership/involvement in a game that has passed family involvement to the side and bye.

lol

It's official Mara has lost his fucking mind.

Let's keep a dud GM and hire a HC, like it's worked out all those years for the Bears.

Can't wait for three more wasted seasons so a new GM/HC can come in and repeat the process.

Oh hey but let's keep all the Mara family members as heads of the front office because it's been working since 2012.

This franchise is becoming a fucking joke.

Also notice how the rumors are "Mara is looking to replace...." Not "Schoen is replacing...."

GMs are there to run the team and hire and fire.

Why even have a fucking GM at this point? Just let Mara run the team like Jurriah like he has been since Sr passed on.

Keeping Daboll will be a mistake.

I think keeping either/both is a mistake.  Schoen has been here three years... name three impact players he's drafted.

Jay Glazer apparently said that the Giants organization sent out some feelers to see what other coaches would want to come and work for a Schoen regime and the answer was "nobody really."  He thinks we're stuck with both of them.

So we have a GM that's put together a league-worst roster and the players don't like, a head coach that is an asshole who's assistants hate him and never disciplines the players, deficiencies at QB, RB, OL, DL, LB, and no starting-caliber corners, and a schedule next year that includes games against the NFC North and AFC West (that's six losses minimum), as well as San Francisco (loss).  We can count on two losses to the Eagles and probably two to the Cowboys, and we probably split with the Commanders... that's 12 losses right there.

Schoen and Daboll will be gone regardless by this time next year.

A mistake.

Daboll gets fired after another bad season or 2 now we are in another situation with a young qb with a change in coach.  Start fresh new qb new head coach.

With this...I am all in on a FA bridge QB and drafting supporting players...namely offensive line, defensive line, and corner.

But they won't.  They will fall in love with a draft QB, trade next year's 1st to move up to get him, probably fail, and set the team back another 5 years.

If they can't get Cam Ward, I agree with this. I would even trade down and pick up more draft picks. Depth quality is far more important right now.
