This is great... I remember when they had the number two pick and picked LT and people screamed NO... Not me... the ones who screamed wanted the number running back that year.  I believe it was OT Anderson that the Giants ended up getting.

I have no faith they will do the right thing with the pick. i can't stand looking at Barkley in an eagles uniform.  Joe Schoen is a clown. This toolbag put nitro in the eagles gas tank we may have to watch them in another superbowl because of it. This guy should be Tarred and feathered.

Trade down, trade down, TRADE DOWN.

Look how quickly the Lions became competitive with two extra 1st round picks.

Then take Jalen Milroe and let him sit for a year.

Oh lordy I want nothing to do with Milroe.

But only trade down if you don't like Ward or Sanders.

My bet is Mara wants one for them.

Also I would add the only reason they are competitive at all is they traded their former #1 pick QB to the Rams and got Goff in exchange.

Without that the team is still irrelevant.

Disagree. Goff was a nice pickup, but the Lions also parlayed that trade into the following players:

WR Jameson Williams

RB Jahmyr Gibbs

TE Sam LaPorta

DL Josh Paschal

DT Brodric Martin

DB Ifeati Melifonwu

Results are mixed on some of those players, but take away those top-3 guys and the Lions are maybe a .500 team. Aside from Melifonwu, those players are also on their rookie deals; the Lions are going to be good for the next 2-3 years while that window is open.

THAT is how you quickly rebuild, drafting well and getting extra picks, not by trading for Brian Burns and giving him six billion dollars. Of course, the Giants don't draft well either, so I'm unsure if this strategy would work for them, but Joe Schoen's "hope players play better than they ever have" strategy isn't exactly working out either.

But without Goff if they had a rookie QB, they wouldn't be the same team as you said they might be .500 at best and maybe Campbell isn't even in town anymore.

That's my point they went from "Goff is a bridge QB for a few years then they can compete with a new QB" to a revival of people saying Goff should be an MVP this year.

They turned it around quick because the Goff trade paid off.

It's like the 49ers who would of been in QB hell if Purdy didn't turn into the QB he is now and the Lance trade is an afterthought.

The Giants can wheel and deal all they want and make trades and get players but if they can't get a QB at any point in time it's all for moot.

The only time the Giants may be in a position to even get a QB is this year realisticaly.

Free agents QBs don't win you SBs unless you can get a Manning, Brees or Brady.

Taking goff’s contract was just supposed to be consideration given to the rams along with stafford to get more draft capital.  Him becoming a useful asset was not part of the lions plan and helped speed up their rebuild
