I dont know how people get so into college.  This is so sloppy and dull.  I’m just going to turn this off and leave the analysis to the experts lol

I think it's for the upset game every now and then when's Vender beating Alabama.

But yeah the other 98% of games are either blowouts or just the worst football you've ever seen.

The weird thing about both of these guys is I keep seeing things like "UNREAL CROSS BODY TD toss by Cam Ward!" and like, yeah... it's a cross body throw that has 15 yards of air distance.

Same thing with Sanders' TD today to Travis Hunter. It was like an "AMAZING, UNREAL..." 20 yard throw.

Still waiting for the highlight where either one of these guys uncorks a 40, 45+ yard pass but not seeing it. These two don't have the arm strength.

That's college football baby.

Nothing beyond 30 yards.

I’ve seen ‘good’ arm strength out of Ward, but nobody is going to confuse him with Justin Herbert.

and I’ll leave it open to sample size, but that’s a few Colorado games I’ve watched now, and Sanders has not for a moment looked like an NFL QB to me. I have seen several talking heads — who happen to have rubbed shoulders with his dad — say Sanders is going to be great.

have you seen any, whether they rubbed shoulders with Deion or not, say he’s not a first rounder?

I’m not sure. No doubt, most talking heads come down on the side that Sanders is going in the first round, maybe even first overall.

I have also seen is a lot of qualitative analysis with descriptions that make me wonder how those descriptions tie out to a high first round pick. Sometimes even from people loudly talking first overall; Mel Kiper, most prominently.

That’s a great data point to look at. Now run a mental simulation on how Ward’s numbers may improve if he also had the opportunity to throw to Travis Hunter. (And vice versa, Sanders without Hunter).

I wager that If just two meh plays become awesome plays their numbers stack a little differently.

With Hunter, just two plays? Nah. He’s a cheat code.

And my main concern with Sanders is that he tends to create pressure, primarily by taking excessively deep drops. 20% more pressured attempts isn’t just something foisted upon him externally.
