I watch his film and see a guy that would have been the #5 or #6 QB drafted last year. I put him slightly behind Penis but maybe ahead of or on par with McCarthy. He just looks like "average to good NFL starter" to me.

I hear you... average to good would be an improvement over to rotten to fair that we have gotten these past years...

I got him as #4 if we’re stacking with 2024. I like him about on a level with Penix.

Penix without the injury history.  I think he would be a good serviceable QB.  I would have taken a flyer on Penix... if he dropped down to the second round.  Nothing to lose there IMHO.

Sanders has been in the spotlight since him and his father went to Colorado. He'll be fine. I'll take him if we are ahead of the Raiders.

For sure.  Take the best available athelete and stop looking for Boy Scouts I say.  Boy Scouts present with their own issues.  This is a football organization... not the Salvation Army. ;)

Wonder what it would take to get penix or even McCarthy.  If I’m the Vikings I’m in zero rush to move on from darnold.

Gotta think the Falcons forsaw Kirk not being the 4 year starter, and he's not shown much reason to think he's going to be that.  He's kind of a fringe top 15 QB and with the weapons he has, I don't think the Falcons are going to take that for 3 more years.

I like Winston, I think he is a FA.

I like him too.  Would not mind him for a year at all

This was my thinking on Cousins as well.  He has a 4-year contract but there's no way he's playing all 4 years with a #1 pick sitting on the bench the whole time.

Id love for Winston to be the bridge QB so we can throw the kitchen sink at Arch Manning in 26. Even someone like a Josh Dobbs Im ok with. Hell give me fucking Flacco!

I haven't watched enough games on him but the college football subreddit seems to think that right now Arch Manning is much more of a "name" than a good player.   I guess we'll see.  I'm definitely not down to tank for two more years;  with our luck we'll draft someone horrible and have the #1 overall pick again in two seasons.

I don't know what escape clause the Falcons have with Kirk, gotta be one by drafting Penix.  You guys know I'd love Penix but you don't take him 8 overall to trade him away for anything less than a higher draft pick a year later, unless Kirk just lights the world on fire and he was a 1 year insurance policy - which has not happened.

I don't dislike Kirk, very capable to coming in for a couple years and winning games, but his contract situation has to be too much of a roadblock to trade for him, and I don't know that they have seen enough of Penix to be comfortable turning it all over to him next season.  They're kind of in a weird spot - Kirk isn't doing his Minny things and Penix has taken like 4 snaps or something.  AND they're in playoff position and Kirk has not been bad enough to bench the final weeks to see what Penix has got.  Entirely predictable worst case scenerio for them, lol.

Winston would be affordable, and while not likely going to be consistently the best we've seen him play, will be enough that the skill position group can properly develop and be evaluated next season.

And it sure seems like he was well liked in New Orleans, I don't know how liked he is in Cleveland, but boy he sured earned some love in NO, and overall seems like the kind of guy that everyone would want to be around and leading the huddle/team.

I believe they're actually going to stick with McCarthy. Darnold will be a FA. I'd be interested in bringing Darnold in, drafting OL, and building around him.

Me too.  He’s only 27 and the pedigree suggests this could just be him finally getting it all together and not just being in a good environment

Trade Down for heaps of picks ( fix the fucking O line ) and then we will have 2 first rounders next year ....and grab Manning

its in the stars !

I am not sold on Arch Manning however I do approve of the Cowboy/Broke Back maneuver of trading down and acquiring a lot of picks.

Honestly, I'd love to trade down to mid-first and get someone like Garrett Nussmier (who I think may end up as the best of this class) or Jalen Milroe (who has skills but definitely needs to sit for a year).  Every time I look at Nussmier I see a guy who's going to be successful in this league; gun to my head he's my pick for QB right now over Sanders or Ward.

We trade down, get some draft capital/1sts for next year, and if in a year it looks like our QB doesn't have it, try to package those picks and trade up for a better guy.

I like him too.  I was watching someone breaking down some of his play and were saying he’s the best anticipatory thrower out of the college guys and thats the toughest thing to find.

that’s the shit that will have him making those Eli passes where when he threw it you had no idea why he did it and then while the ball is in the air the guy gets open just as Eli anticipated.

had a lot to do with the Coughlin/Gilbride offense the option routes etc.  but you needed the qb who could seemingly see the future.

eli would have broken every record in the nfl if he had receivers as smart as he was.

And the one WR Eli always said was a bigger note/study guy was Plax and he's #2 in TD thrown to by Eli.

Of course #1 being the king OBJ who could take a 5 yard slant 55 yards to the house every other play.

Plax was executed by uptight Bloomberg and his crusade to destroy him because of an illegal gun.  In Dallas, Kansis City, Philly etc. they could have given a shit.  We allow Bloomberg to destroy our next consecutive chance at a Super Bowl in 2009.  I wish I could take it all back at what never was.  Unless 9/11 happens on that day Bloomberg is never NYC mayor and we have Mark Green instead.  9/11 happened on the day of the primaries which changed history.

Starting to become a little intrigued by Jaxson Dart.  Kid reminds me a lot of Jake Plummer.  Not worth a high 1st but maybe a 2nd I think.

Funky throwing motion, reminds me of Philip Rivers.

nice looking highlights.

Yes nice highlights... they show nascent anticipation that has been missing here mostly since the days of Eli.  A nice second round addition if we were to get him.

I'm seeing the same thing.  He's another guy that would need some work but might be a nice bargain.
