Sephiroth
Yeah but I don't want to pay him 23 million when he runs into the next DT with his head down.

Yeah - dudes been trucking DL and LBs like he is doing his best to get injured! Instead its those guys who end up on the ground.

He would have made a good to excellent TE IMHO with another 20-30 lbs added to him. QB... he is making Tim Tebow look like a Super Bowl quality QB. gmenroc
First he got skittish. Then he lost accuracy. And now he has lost vision. While other QBs throw into space for their WR to run into and make the catch...our waits until our WRs are more alone than the ugly girls at prom who don't put out. boohyah
They hoped he'd take the next step, he hasn't. The kid has taken enough shit. He's a good kid who's tried hard and had a shitty time with injuries and lousy offensive lines and the best thing for him now is to get out of New York and find himself a spot as a backup and maybe get another shot a la Geno Smith and Sam Darnold

He got his bag but he also went through absolute shit here. Multiple coaching changes, OC changes, no OL, no WR and by the time we fixed the last two - he was already long gone inside his head. They get drafted to an albeit poorly run team and put into the shoes of "franchise savior" and end up like Jones or a Carr or any QB the Browns drafted the last 20 years. I love Jones for his attitude and as a professional. He has plenty of ammo to go to the media and list of the reasons for his lack of development, as you posted, but he's stayed a true pro. I wanted to see it work and I had high hopes after his rookie year. A gun slinging QB with his legs? Count me in, just needed to limit the fumbles. However regime change after regime change, injury after injury, Jones has entered the backup/gameanager role.

jranieli
Even if he didn't have that injury clause in his contract, he isn't playing good enough to be a starter. Bring on Cutlets

BlueInCanada
First practice since the game. Apparently there was no "first team reps" as all QBs took equal reps with different lineups.
TaylorBanksCarsonVanPelt
I hear you mang. A distinction without a difference. This is like the Civil War north after the war with that asshole Johnson as president. Too afraid to hang most of the traitors and here we are now. The Giants for the past two years have been too afraid to bench DJ and move on. Now we are two years behind where we should be.
BlueInCanada
I'm kinda nervous the Giants haven't said anything about the situation yet. You think if they were gonna start a different guy they'd be giving him all the reps. Daboll going to do the most trolly thing ever and start Jones isn't he? lol

Fucking Cutlets might end up making 2-3 lucky throws and win something - we dont fucking want that happening. Atleast with Jones we can openly tell him to tank. Mr. P
Nah, we shouldn’t play the injury prone qb who has an injury guarantee in his contract. Unless you want Jones back next year.
Sephiroth
I think Drew Lock is my tank commander. He's the #2 on the depth chart but a top-5 worst QB in all of football. He'll at least be able to sling 2-3 deep balls to Nabers and Slayton each week, which will leep things interesting too. This is some roster Schoen had assembled, huh? Yeah I think lock is the way to go. He’s looked awful whenever he’s played. Worse than jones and worse than 2023 Devito
gmenroc
Lock also is number 2 on depth chart...so might just be easier to sell that to ownership and players who don't want to tank.
