Anyone Care About Power Rankings?

For the second straight year, the Giants were roasted in their home opener -- and Daniel Jones was equally bad in both games. On Sunday, he threw a pair of interceptions against the Vikings and barely hit the 50 percent completion mark. The first pick was run back for a score that drove a stake into the Giants' hearts when they were still just 15 points behind. Jones' legs can be his occasional saving grace, but he didn't do much with those, either. Let's be fair, though: How many QBs could make this offense hum? Outside of the truly elite, the answer is likely "not many." The revamped O-line looked like it needed more vamping. The ground game was virtually non-existent, and the defense was carved up by Sam Darnold in a stadium that he's been booed out of more than once. I wouldn't have known Brian Daboll was calling plays had he not told us he would be doing so. Outside of a few Malik Nabers grabs, it was about as bad as you could have imagined, with only the Panthers' misery sparing the Giants from the basement.

31. The only team worse is the Panthers.

Don't really care about these things, but reading that still hurts.

I mean we are the only team to not score a TD week one.

If the Panthers didn't look like a pew-wee team (both in talent and height) we would have the crown of #32.

Next week is going to be interesting against the Commies.

2 seasons in a row. Shutout last year and 2 FG's this year. It's depressing dude.

Yet somehow I still don't feel the pain of the Lions and Raiders of old. But we're getting closer every year.

I'd take Kerry Collins off the street right now.

For sure... his only blemish here is that I believe he let the Ravens get into his head with the dismemberment thoughts emanating from the co-conspirator in murder Ray Lewis.  He should have been in a big house with Rae Carruth as well.  Alas he was allowed to walk.  Him and Jim Fassell were a lethal combination.  That Vikings NFC Title game he won was a clinic on good offense... 42 to 0 was a great score.  It showed total dominance.

Oh no I was saying "I don't care about Power Rankings" lol. I liked Collins when he was here. The team did a good job with him and Christian Peter I thought.

For sure bro... he was good for here.  Thanks for the clarification.  We need to do that and also pick a good draft pick to groom.  An established QB for two to three years and a capable college prospect.  No more of the Dave Brown/DJ Jones Duke horseshit.  Enough is enough.  I am with Herc.  Watching this franchise for 56 years its time to move onward and forward.  Bite the bullet(s) and just move forward.  Start from square one if you have to... just no going back... just take the first step...then the next step... and go forward.

Oh I saw that one live and couldnt imagine the kind of ass whooping we were laying down on the Vikings. Collins went to be quite effective for the Raiders too - man what a cannon of an arm he had.

For sure.... that is why I know that the Ray Lewis nonsense got into his head.  Against the Vikings he was the best QB ever for three hours.  Against the Raven he was running for his life, even when he did not have to.  He was seeing 22 defenders instead of 11.  Fassell also refused to mass protect as he thought Collins would get over his early jitters.  With that referee Hochuli or as I call him Hock A Fuck... the bag was in for a Ravens win.  The owner ran out of Cleveland in the middle of the night and had never won a Super Bowl.  Art Model?  So the fix was in.  IMHO.
