Barkley to the Eagles.

And again, because we are paying Jones, has nothing to do with us paying Barkley.

We could of paid Barkley instead of Jones last offseason.

But yeah I'm sure the 60 million Jones has made his first two years of the deal (possibly 80 if he gets hurt) has nothing to do with it.

If the Giants wanted to extend themselves to sign Barkley last year, they would have. He could have also taken less to stay if he wanted to badly enough, he didn't.

If the Eagles want to extend themselves by signing him, that's on them. Schoen is handling this correctly.

I'm sorry he's gone, but considering that he signed so quickly for our rival would lean into the idea he probably had no intention of agreeing with us.

Oh yes the whole "a player should take less to stay here" lol

Do you ask your boss for a pay decrease?

Also like Pdoub just posted, the Giants never even tried to make him an offer.

What kind of dog shit advice has Barkley been given his entire career? Dude could have gone anywhere and come back as a Giants media personality for the rest of his life, now he's got NO CHANCE of that ever happening.

Hope he enjoys being Penn State's radio color commentator.

Any money Saquon got last year would have been an increase on his previous contract.  It's has to do with how big on an increase. Clearly he didn't agree with their assessment.

This is a sad day. Genuinely my favorite giant on the roster the last several years, and just a guy I always thought would be a giant.

We didn't even make him an offer.

And the year we could sign him to a long term deal.

We gave 160 million to a soon to be backup QB who won't even be on the roster.

Lolol

This franchise is fucking cursed after breaking Eli's streak.

He even changed agents. He's not happy about last year, it's clear from his words at the end of the season.

It sucks, the running back market is just an exchange of players from one team to another. Josh Jacobs is in Green Bay today and Aaron Jones is out. Go figure.

Blah, Blah Blah, Jones contract has us all fucked up!

Falcons just gave Kirk Cousins their left leg, and he's coming off an Achilles tear at his age. But we're giving Jones $40 mil which is killing us. Give me a fucking break.

Imagine a world where we tagged Jones and gave Barkley a three year 13 million dollar deal.

We'd have an extra 28 million this offseason.

And no Jones.

Just imagine.

Yeah you would be bitching that we paid him $2 million per touchdown last year

We gave Jones 8.5 million per TD last year.

Yes I would much rather have Barkley.

What you smoking? Lol
