Running backs get a lot of attention for how they run the ball and the impact they make out of the backfield as receivers, but many are asked to help in pass protection, too.

Here are the top 10 running backs in the NFL by PFF pass-blocking grade.

1. SAQUON BARKLEY, NEW YORK GIANTS

2. TONY POLLARD, DALLAS COWBOYS

3. JAMES CONNER, ARIZONA CARDINALS

4. SAMAJE PERINE, CINCINNATI BENGALS

5. JAMAAL WILLIAMS, DETROIT LIONS

6. DEVIN SINGLETARY, BUFFALO BILLS

7. DERRICK HENRY, TENNESSEE TITANS

8. RHAMONDRE STEVENSON, NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

9. NAJEE HARRIS, PITTSBURGH STEELERS

10. PATRICK RICARD, BALTIMORE RAVENS

That used to be a significant weakness.

Yea I remember him getting pushed around but he's really turned it around.    Hopefully a deal gets done soon.

Yeah he was doing the college blocking of throwing a shoulder at a rusher, doesn't work in the NFL when the guys are 6ft 4 and 270 pounds lol

unless you’re Jacobs lol.

Jacobs made even the Oline look small.

He was such a fun RB to watch and the duo of him and Bradshaw was a great era of Giants football.

Hope Barkley/Grey are the new combo for the next few years.

So much fun. My cousin has a Bradshaw jersey he wears often, thinking I should get a Jacobs.

Yep, throwing a shoulder and muscling a guy who is two thirds of your weight from Fresno State that makes up two thirds of your games.  Now everyone is your size plus they have been taught techniques by pros.  Totally different ballgame.

I just enjoyed that era...knowing that it would last only a few years.
