RandolphScott
That he send his bullpen pitchers up to the plate I really didn't like when Duaner Sanchez was hit, this is my only bad critique of Willie. XXI-XXV, I know you most likey agree with me, no?
420
I don't mind this at all if you're trying to get more than 1 inning out of a guy. I think more managers should do this. It speeds up the game and doesn't tax your pen and saves your bench players if you need them, god forbid, later in the game. If this is your only beef then consider the Mets and their fans very fortunate that they gave this man a chance.
mickeef2
That's really nitpicking. You can't fault him for that. You can't take your best option out of a game you're leading just because you don't want him to get hit by a pitch.

XXI-XXV, I know you most likey agree with me, no? I n certain situations like that one, you are kind of in a bind. Willie had no intention of using Sanchez another inning and then the Mets made it so that it was not a save situation so he chose(before he was hit) to leave him in. I do not think that Willie does this anymore than any other manager I think this year it has been a case where the Mets have blown teams out later in games after the starter had left(see Arizona 15-2 game as an example) and there was no reason to either rub it in by using a pinch hitter and really pouring it on or using another pitcher thus not having at least some rested arms. My only beef with Willie is his constant dependence day in and day out of the same people in the pen. Hopefully a 12 game lead will fix this. Yes, I'd like to see more out of Bell, Feliciano, and Bradford and give the big 4 some days off (Wags, Duaner, Heilman, and Oliver) but those guys need their rest too. Willie has been doing this as of late and I'd like to see more of some 2-inning relief efforts by Bell and Felicano, especially Bradford because we know he can do it from his years with the A's. BRadford is a trusted member of this pen more and has done great, I think Willie is leaning on him more and that is good as his motion and mechanics are not taxing and he seems to be able to pitch a lot.
