Philip Hughes allowed one hit in eight scoreless innings and struck out 10 Friday for Double-A Trenton.

thats not one..but TWO straight one hitters.

I thought they kicked upstairs to Columbus. What happened to that?

You guys remember Sean Henn? He was supposedly a good prospect, when is he coming up?

no he wasn't supposed to be. Hughes is widely considered by many scouts to eventually be a 1 or 2 starter in the majors.

he had come up two or three times in the last two years and has gotten shelled everytime i think. i have heard that he has improved but not much else beyond that. hughes is definitely projected higher than him.

I'd like to see Hughes come up this year, and it is possible. I mean, how bad can he be? Right now, four of our starters are pitching well, but that's against the weaker NL lineups. If he can hold the opposition to 4 runs a game, we could use him down the stretch. Just don't wait too long.
