But Reese told WFAN’s Mike Francesa on Friday that he believes the O-line is ripe for success.

“We have a nice group of young players, and those guys have a lot of snaps together under their belt now,” Reese said. “And quite frankly, the free agent market and the draft didn’t have a ton of high-caliber offensive linemen in it, and we feel like these guys have played together. They have one more year of maturity under their belt. They worked really hard in the offseason, all of them. And they’re a prideful group. So we really think these guys will come together and play well.”

I'm going to just put that one in there every time we talk about the offensive line. :whistling:

The Vikings line was just as bad as ours last year. They basically replaced all five guys and look at them now. What a crazy concept

That's just crazy talk. You can't replace all 5 guys and expect good results. An O-line needs years to gel and become a cohesive unit.

Putting five decent linemen together might take some time to play to their potential, but they'd still be better than our current line on day one. That's what Reese doesn't seem to get. We only needed a league average line to be a contender this year and instead he unnecessarily gambled

So wait... you're saying when you have five guys that suck, you don't get better by keeping the same five guys?
