Brett Myers, RHP (2-2, 2.75)

Phillies (23-22)

@

Jeremi Gonzalez, RHP (0-0, 10.13)

Mets (28-17)

Scouting Report:

Myers' numbers have been an illusion all season. Heading into his last start, he had recorded three straight no-decisions when he could have easily had three wins had the run support been there. Then in his last start, after facing the minimum through five, Myers allowed six runs in the next 1 1/3 innings, but his ERA escaped with only minor damage as four runs were unearned.

Jeremi Gonzalez goes for the Mets on Thursday after having an awfully rough outing last Friday against the Yankees. In that game, the first of the Subway Series, Gonzalez gave up four runs in the first and did not last past the third inning. Gonzalez was fighting the flu and it showed as he gave up nine hits and six runs before being pulled. The right-hander hopes to come up with a performance similar to the one he had on May 13, when he pitched five innings in a 9-8 win over the Brewers. In that victory, Gonzalez gave up five hits and three runs with four strikeouts and no walks.

3-0 Phils top 1

Gonzalez sucks.

Its Soler time, like yours truly has told the Met faithful for months now, this kid has GREAT stuff and will be in the rotation the rest of the year. Unless of course Willie and Mr. Fix it Peterson decide otherwise.

Wilpon and Minaya will critique Mike and the Mad Dog after the game on WFAN.

Gonzalez is cat food.

He isn't doing too bad after that miserable first inning. He's getting out of jams and making pitches. Even if they are self induced jams he's not letting them score.

This is the post that comes back to haunt me...

Did you just call me a vixen?

I am using Gameday, because I am a work, and this is risky enough....

Yes I did ma'am. Any way you can enjoy the euphoria we refer to as baseball is good....even if you're a philly fan.

Crap.

I went from vixen to "ma'am"? :TD:

I enjoy baseball...all the time....Phillies baseball is just a tad frustrating.

But then...you remember that from last year, right? :LMAO:

I remember that frustration we called "last year" quite well, she-devil.
