boohyah
He was saying that he could compensate on defense because he had more kids available than he does in Philly. He could slow down the offense if needed in order to give his defense a break but doesn't.
Bigblue25
Pep sucks I think Pep is good. No Oline and no running game in Indy is what killed them
Allstarjim
And their franchise QB was hurt pretty much all year?
Tempest
Going further into this then I did before... What kind of an organization would fire their head coach five days before the last game of the season? One without a Super bowl win in the modern era. Of all the teams to fire their head coach in midseason over the last 15 years, only one of them won a super bowl in those last 15 years and not by the replacement coach. Horrible leadership straight on up to the owners. The argument of getting an early start on recruiting the next head coach is simply bullshit. Eagles fans on this board should do themselves a favor by finding another team until there is a change in ownership.
Herc
They were just doing it to insult him. Still not very classy
carl 1010
Couldn't agree more Tempest. What a weak and classless move. I could see if there was a month left in the season. But to fire a coach five DAYS before the last game? What a Philly move!

Tempest
The Giants fired Jim Fassel before the final game of the season. They did not. He resigned but coached the team to the end knowing he would be fired at the end of the season
Herc
They told him they were firing him before week 16 but would keep it quiet and announce it after the last game. Fassel then asked if he could announce it to the media right away and they said ok.

boohyah
They then went out and played like shit for him against Carolina. I was there. Keith Hamilton's last game as a Giant too.
Herc
Yeah they totally quit on him, half the people left were free agents off the street and they couldn't even bother trying to get their next jobs

I realize it was only the Giants but, I think the Gmen really wanted that win for TC. I think leadership made the right move.
