I'm sure Reese puts a lot of faith in the coaches when it comes to those decisions, but I'm not going to excuse the GM altogether. At the VERY least, Parker just dropped down the depth chart. Parker was able to find some separation and get himself open...so I'd give him another shot...but the demotion to minimize playing time would hopefully be the kick in the ass he needs after this week. He is a physically imposing guy and he looks like an exceptional blocker on the outside. I was more than impressed by him this preseason, he seemed to have that dog in him... That want to... He might have weighed in on Weatherford due to his contract price, but you can't put the final roster decisions on Reese. That's all on Coughlin. Exactly... every year Cheerleader makes some head scratching decisions... some of them questioned by other professionals who comment on the team.
