A Pure Blocking TE: A thing of the past?

Look at the NFL, pure passing league where QBs are throwing for 300+ yards with ease.

Are pure blocking TEs a thing of the past? Will they be soon? Will we see more hybrid TEs who are quick off the line of scrimmage and can get huge yardage?

The Giants could use a pure blocking TE. In my opinion a good running game is more important but I think I'm in the minority.

Gronk was blocking pretty well yesterday from what I've seen, and he looked pretty good catching the ball again.

Agree...what I would not give for an every down TE that could like ... block every now and then. I would give up one of our WR's right now for a good TE...half of our losses would be wins if that was the case.

AKA Hands of Stone...if we can't have a good pass catching/blocking TE I would settle just for a good blocking TE...we have plenty of WR's and a couple of backs who can catch a football pass...if we can't have a Whitten or a Gronk I would settle for a Cross... :P
